“I can’t give up on her yet. I need her to be okay.”
What are you gonna do, risk yourself getting shot looking for her? Then you have two dead people.

“I can’t give up on her yet. I need her to be okay.”
What are you gonna do, risk yourself getting shot looking for her? Then you have two dead people.
joel-monroe:
“Other less qualified people have survived out there.”
You’re just setting yourself up for disappointment.
joel-monroe:
“She’s a cop. They’re trained for dangerous situations.”
She's a cop, not a navy SEAL.
joel-monroe:
“Jesus Christ- she’s not dead. Clem is tough. She can make it out there until she can get back.”
Don’t let your goo-goo eyes blind you from acknowledging that she’s still human and still alone.
joel-monroe:
“I’ve known her my entire life. She’s- I think I love her.”
I’m sorry for your loss, then.
joel-monroe:
“That’s the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard. Married people don’t know each other any more than anyone else. Divorce rates prove that much.”
Or they actually know them after marrying them. Found out actual truth to them that they didn’t like. What makes you think you know that Clem more than anyone else?
joel-monroe:
“She’s not mean. It’s not her fault that this town is full of small time lawbreakers. And you don’t know her- not like I know her.”
‘Not like I know her.’ You know how many times I hear that from people? Enough to where I don’t care or believe them. Unless you’re married, you don’t really know the person.
joel-monroe:
“Kill her? Nobody killed her. And she’s a cop. Why would people dislike her? Don’t talk about her like that. You don’t know her.”
I didn’t say anyone actually killed her. But I’m saying, she’s cold and mean and she’s probably arrested half of our town’s population at one point. Someone probably would kill her eventually.
But don’t say I don’t know her. I’ve probably lived in this town just as long as you have.
joel-monroe:
“Do you have to look so happy about it?”
It wasn’t like Clem was one of our majorly liked citizens. Someone was bound to kill her eventually.
joel-monroe:
“Do you know where he last saw her?”
Outside the walls? Somewhere we normal folk can’t go.
joel-monroe:
“The cop? I know that guy- I mean, I know of him. Clem trained that guy and he helped my ex-girlfriend get into rehab instead of arresting her. Why would he just leave Clem out there? Did he say she was lost or hurt?”
No idea. Just that he left her behind ultimately.

“Shit that sounds bad. You reckon she’s dead?
It’s likely.
Surprise Visit | Leah & Jonas
jonasfinch:
Before Jonas could draw a reply from the stranger Leah was at his side. She looked tired. He slowly transferred Vivian into her arms, thinking of what to say. He didn’t want to cause Leah anymore trouble than he already seemed to be doing, but Vivian was her daughter. If anything happened to her Leah would want to know, right? Even if it may have been Jonas over analyzing her symptoms. His eyes stayed on the baby as he spoke, trying to explain his worry. “She’s been crying for a while now. I’ve checked everything I’ve could.” Jonas stepped closer to take another look at Vivian. “I’m sorry. I may be overthinking this.”
Leah couldn’t help but smile when Jonas said how he checked everything he could with her daughter. It was nice to see that he was at least attempting to do his job right to the best of his abilities — even going all the way down to the hospital.
“She probably just misses everyone. Her big brother’s been too busy and her daddy is too,” she said, lightly bouncing Vivian in hopes of that calming her just slightly. Leah looked to Jonas, with her slight smile. “I’m impressed that you got her all the way here.”
joel-monroe:
“Who was she with?”
Ren? The one that supposedly shot up our hospital.
joel-monroe:
“Why would she be out there in the first place? She doesn’t work for the mayor.”
Who knows? She was out with an employee. Guess they picked up random people to do it.
joel-monroe:
“That can’t be right.”
Why? You think she’s immune to getting killed out there just because of her whole cold cop personality?
joel-monroe:
“We do? Who?”
Cop? Name’s Clem, I think.
