i think my favorite part of wolfstar is how the friendship never stops being the center of everything. like yes they’re stupidly in love but they’re also absolutely best friends first. they’re having chess matches one day and paintballing the life out of each other the next. they’re the people who can make each other laugh harder than anyone else with those inside jokes, that one look across a room that’s enough to send them both under. they’re grabbing slurpees at 2am, stealing sips of each other’s flavors, sticking their tongues out like “wow moony yours is so pink” & “pads why is yours so violently purple what the hell.” they watch the most unhinged cringe movies together and place bets on who’ll crack first, loser buys dinner. they wrestle in hallways, sprint after each other for no reason, launch sneak attacks (sirius) every two minutes (just to be manhandled by remus). i just love that before anything else, they’re each other’s favorite person to be stupid with, two lovers who never stopped choosing the fun of each other
