my biggest issue with the httyd live action-and just about any live action reboot is that it seems that the live action adaptations are being made to make the original “better”? like, so many people talk about a live action spiderverse, a live action hercules, a live action PRINCE OF EGYPT (dont piss me OFF.)-like animation is a beautiful work of art, and for some reason putting real people and cgi in it is supposed to be an “upgrade”? im probably being that friend that’s too woke or whatever, but i just think it’s so disrespectful to act like something that takes so much time and effort and energy is immediately considered as lower because it is animated. animation is beautiful, and it is one of the most heartfelt art forms there are, and erasing that for the sake of a cash grab is downright degrading to animation as a medium.

I've suddenly felt the need to weigh in on sandwich cutting

Rectangle vs triangle cut is dependent entirely upon type of sandwich.

If you have a pb&j (I may even include banana and honey), you're sandwich should be cut in rectangle cuts like so

It is then chomped quickly top to bottom as all bites are made the same by easily spread ingredients. I might even clarify that it should be made with literally like the cheapest bread you can buy at the store.

When it comes to a savory sandwich (e.g. egg salad or deli), it must be triangle cut like so

The reason for this differentiation is mostly due to the fact that a savory sandwich has more shiftable ingredients in it. You need to be able to approach this sandwich from more angles upon taking a bite in order to control the shifting of its contents or set up the contents for superior bites.

I don't make up nor enforce the rules. I simply look at you when you break them like this.

I have a scene stuck in my head from a fanfic. I can't even remember what fandom it was maybe Miraculous Ladybug or Sailor Moon.

The mc is morose pondering on their nightmares. The love interest comes along and asks them what's wrong and they discuss nightmares. The guy asks what they dream about: made up horrors or things that are true.

"Things that are true," mc says. "I always dream of terrible things that are true."

I feel like that's nearly exactly the line but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone else recognize it?
