About a year ago I understood, probably for the first time in my life (a whole 49 years!) that it’s actually ok to want nice things, to want to go to nice places, to want to do fun stuff and it’s not selfish or greedy to want more than what we currently have.
In fact, it’s human nature to want more.
I also realised that wanting more gave me more opportunities to do/give/be more to/for others and that is where the higher power lies.
Seeing someone I care about receive something from me, the look on their faces, the excitement in their voices, the sheer joy they feel is what makes money worth having.
So the saying money doesn’t buy you happiness is actually incorrect, it does. It buys you the opportunity to do things that make you and someone else happy. From clearing debts to buying your first home, from paying for the grandkids school uniforms to a family holiday, from buying the latest model Porsche to starting a non-profit charity.
Money is the mediator between a person and their desires, memories and higher self.
So for me personally, I love to take my son to shop at the ‘label’ shops, I love to see my monthly direct debit donation has gone out to a few of my favourite charities, I love to see that my utility bills have been paid, that I’ve just put petrol in my car or added to my savings account. I love to see the look on a family members face when I have treated them. The list goes on.
Over the last few months I have been working away at building my personal brand in my business, I’ve been working behind the scenes because I’m thinking long term yet in the present time I’m earning from helping people right here, right now with my products and seeing them hit their body goals, drop the pounds, tone up and generally feel healthy in themselves. These people make my day worth getting up for b/c they’re inspiring me to do more, be more and give more.
I’ve learned to love people all over again, to see their potential and then help them to grow from that.
I’ve also had to work on my own self image, but when remember why I started I can’t help but see how far I’ve come in the 2 and a bit years since I began.
As I’m preparing to launch some free online courses, I would like to invite you to watch the short ‘story’ below and step into your future possibilities. (I will be sharing a link for the courses on here tomorrow).
One final point to consider:
Time is happening whether we do anything or not.
are you going to make the time count or are you just counting time?
