I ran my first DND campaign last night and survived!

#Players complimented my choices of backdrops #and background music for very RP heavy first session #I worked really hard to find the images i used (that aren't just AI slop)#so it made me feel really happy iui) b #One of them was very much “I AM HERE FOR COMBAT” but he even said he had a lot of fun with this being the first episode #My thief was VERY happy I made up a thieves cant and Thieves cant pictograph for them to look for and use in game #My husband is the only one who TRULY knows what the campaign actually is about #and he's the healer for the group (HEAVY FRONTLINE TEAM #NO REAL MAGIC USERS)#which is fine for this but uh...#damn its gunna suck when they get to the VERY END GAME and face the true boss #I have a decoy boss and a real boss #that aren't technically related #but I hope its enough to throw them off the scent of the real boss for a while #So now onto prepping for episode 2 and hoping I can improv enough to let them have a fun time :'>
