Hi! My name is Ducky! I make both digital and traditional art. I mostly draw people, but I have a lot of background in drawing MLP style ponies as well. I also do landscapes sometimes. My art isn't the best, but I hope you'll enjoy viewing it anyway!

Anybody wanna do art telephone with me?

Basically, somebody draws a piece, then someone else draws the same piece in their own style or whatever. Then, someone else looks at ONLY the second person’s piece, and so with each link you can only see the person before you’s version of the original. Then, at some point once we have a bunch of versions we compare them to the original, and see what changed. ^^

I definitely could’ve communicated that those are sleeves better, but I didn’t realise until I’d already sent it off, oops!

After me was @pumpki3-pie!

Very nice, I like that they kept my oval background idea. Making it purple and blue actually matches better in my opinion. I really like how the light reflects from the character’s hair, a touch I didn’t consider adding. Note for next time!

I like the facial expression, sort of serene, but lost in thought. I also like how there’s obvious folds to the fabric (something I need to work on, my characters can’t wear tubes forever!) the subtle pink on the front really ties in that there’s a light source in front of her. I like the mist of stars in the background, something I might try to replicate at some point.

Interestingly, the hair seems to get lighter with every version! Very cool! Very nice fabric folds, and the stars are so crisp! I really like the texture of the hair. I see you’ve also got the whole colored pencil-easily-seen-strokes issue. I haven’t found a solution yet, does anyone know one?

Lastly, @instantprincesspeace

I wonder what they’re holding, maybe a glowing magic orb? Very cool! I like the trees. Interesting how the silohoutte of the dress changed drastically from the original, I think the sleeves are the most different in shape.

As for the other person who wanted to join in, I think it would probably be best to start a new game at this point haha.

It is not the prettiest but here is a little chart I made of skin tones.

The idea is to eye-drop anywhere on the chart to get a unique skin tone instead of getting stuck in the loop of “white, tan, dark”.
