Do you have any headcanons about what the StarFox cast dreams or have nightmares about?
Not originally, but now that you mention it I can make some !! :)
I'll give you nightmares in a separate answer, because this has already taken a lot of time bc i did forget about it lmao.
He dreams of spending peaceful time with his family. Usually most dreams he has are based in some memory: him going to a waterpark with Vixy and James as a kid mixed into a peaceful experience with Krystal. Or a family dinner where they would all still be together, where he could have his parents and his new friends and family safe, alive, and together
He dreams of Zonessâ beaches before their destruction, of his familyâs long gone house and village. Usually thereâll be no sign of the poverty, natural disasters, and the death of the planet in his dreams, just a promised prosperity Falco was always told used to be there. Either that or Kattâs house on Corneria, when they were all still friends and nothing was tainted by his fear of someone hurting him.
He dreams of doing something greater than great: his inventions saving the day, his piloting skills doing the same, or even just the aftermath: getting praised and recognized as a great hero and proving everyone who doubted wrong. Usually itâll also come with his preferred body, everything changed to Slippy's wants exactly.
He dreams of James being alive. James alive, Vixy alive, Vivian alive, in Peppyâs true dreams not even one of his old friends were injured. And he either imagines missions back in his heyday, where James and Pigma are both alive and not evil, where they could go back home to either see Vixy and baby Fox, get repairs from a mechanic Beltino, or Peppy could come home to a happy daughter and an alive wife.
She dreams of her mother and father. Singing in a language she never got to fully learn, dreaming of lullabies, of what-ifs where Cernia was never destroyed and she had grown up on its heavenly surface. She doesnât dream of Sauria, but sheâll sometimes have both Randorn and Sabre with her biological parents: in a perfect little familial capsule where there was no doubting she belonged. Rarely, Fox and/or Peppy, and/or Slippy will be there: and Krystal will get to reintroduce herself alongside her actual family, and they would all laugh and love each other.
Lucy dreams of her father coming back. Of her father coming back and noticing how âcoolâ sheâs gotten: how intelligent, how pretty, how skilled. In her dreams StarFox lands back on Corneria and either Peppy or Fox comes running to her: apologizing fir their absence, for not seeing how skilled she was, near begging for a second chance. And Lucy would laugh, forgive them bc she would know they were sincere, and then sheâd have her family back. Not just her current family, but one that would see her, not their daughter, not someone to be protected and coddled and ignored: her.
Bill dreams of chasing something through a forest. Or running through the fields, or catching a frisbee in his mouth. Freedom, really. But he also just yearns to be what we would call a normal dog lowkey.
Wolf dreams about his teammates being alive. The original teammates, Alisha and Talia, alive with no memory of James ever turning on them. Sometimes itâll go further, Alisha and Talia being there and working with him and his team currently. Occasionally theyâll blend together, Alisha and Leon, Talia and Panther. Sometimes itâs a what if Andrew hadnât left: Leon and Alisha always both being close to Wolf, Panther and Alisha happily talking, and Talia and Andrew fixing something together. Meng is alive in his dreams, his sister. Alive, able to survive, and right by him. Happy with Krystal, Andrew, or anyone else for company. All the people heâs managed to care about in his life together in a place he could see them if he wanted, alive, and thriving.
Leon dreams of people being under him. People looking up to him, people fighting for him, people knowing and respecting him. All while he sits or stands on a raised platform, watching everything go on below him. Whoever it is changes based off of the dream, but that principle remains the same. Whoever it is is always looking up at Leon, he is always in control.
Panther dreams of endless prosperity. Feasts, women and men that love him around him, joy. Revelry, something so self-indulgent, so maximalist that even the gods would forget those quiet, lonely, cold, and wet nights Panther spent alone on the streets of Fortuna after Cernia's destruction. While he doesn't recognize it as such, the backgrounds are usually clippings of his memories on Cernia, his birth planet. But he never focuses on that, he's just enjoying his lust and gluttony.
Pigma dreams of being on an island alone, surrounded by enormous amounts of money.
Andrew dreams of relaxation. Utter paradise for him, empty fields of Venomian wilderness, where all the animals are nice, Lylat is shining on the surface: and Andrew would be alone. Alone, no presence looming over him, no threat, no time limit, and absolutely no reason to mask at all. Just him, his planet, sometimes his tools and machines, and Lylat shining through Venom's haze for once in a millennia.
Caiman dreams of travelling to different planets, seeing the different beautiful landscapes he could only see photos of. In his dreams there are people he doesn't know currently, people he knows he has some connection with but ones he can't remember the names of. But they travel alongside him, they see the beauty of the system's planets and anywhere else his sleeping brain could conjure up. He dreams of a whole universe to safely explore and soak up the information riddled within their ecosystems, cultures, and peoples.
Algy dreams of being healthy. Completely healthy and able to do everything he's ever wanted. Doing simple things, like playing video games, going to school, walking through a park, going to a theme park- but in a perfectly healthy, tall, normal body. The one he was supposed to have, before it was "taken" from him. Sometimes in these Lola or Caiman will be taking back Algy's perceived condescension, praising him. Other times, not that Algy would admit it Andrew is there- doing the same, admitting Algy was better, and they could exist normally together. Without outside forces, without the hate and horridness of the world, Algy could just be normal with the family he was dragged into being the same.
Nova dreams always take place somewhere where there is a fire. Usually a fire place. And it's just quiet, it's peace: with himself, with his father, with his mother, with Andrew, or anyone else he cares/cared about. And the fire is always contained.
Jonah dreams of his father being sane. He dreams of his old village, in his mother language, with his mother and siblings, dreams of things he didn't remember before. The past and present always blend together, sometimes he's a child but with Nova and Andrew alongside him and they're just playing- other times Jonah is thriving with the two of them in his current adult state but in his destroyed village.
Lola's dreams are mostly "what-ifs" of a perfect reality where no wars ever happened. The streets are safe, people aren't readying for their next attack, there are no militaries stationed in the city, just peace where she can finally relax. Other times this concept gets extended further, where she had been granted the ability to actually enjoy her childhood and not have her family be tainted.
