“Well I have some games at home, we could try that after my shift ends.” Gavin said with a shrug. “Not sure if you are into car racing games, but it’s worth a try.” he pocketed his e-cig again and looked at her. Maybe there were some free downloaded games on his console that they could try out. He always grabbed them when he saw a free one. They could also watch movies from Netflix, that would be a nice and chill day.

“You look and act like a teenager, do you really think some random asshole would care how old you are in android years? Fuck no.” Gavin shook his head Most people didn’t even ask. Then he pulled a face “The sewers? Oh god you need to stop doing that! You know what kind of diseases you carry around with you!” Of course he knew she couldn’t catch anything but that didn’t mean she couldn’t infect other people with the stuff. Besides the sewers were disgusting. Gavin already felt how his stomach tightened when he thought about it.

“Yeah, I don’t mind you coming with me for a few days or weeks. My house is not big but it will fit two people at the same time. Just stay at the station until I finished my work and I take you home with me.” he said while stretching. Shizuka actually helped taking his mind off from the issue at hand. He hadn’t forgotten about Caleb’s depression and how he was not able to help him properly, but this young android distracted him for a while and maybe things wouldn’t look so dark after a good nights sleep. But now he should go back inside and finish his report.

A hum escaped her lips as she was thinking of the idea, doing human things, with a human seemed so ironic, yet, really fun. unlike most of the time where she felt like she needed to run. Her shoulders slightly shrugged. “I don’t know?? I never played a game ever, but it sounds exciting~” The young girl gave him a quick smile, before returning to her neurtral features. 

The urge to talk to back to him about it stirred in her, but he had a point, even then she felt like she could do it, if she truly wanted it to. For now she kept her pretty little mouth shut. That was until he scolded her.”W-Well!! I had no choice!! Sometimes running away from human who wanted to hurt me meant going into the sewers, and it has happened quite a lot...” She knew the risks, and all she could carry with her. “I do clean myself and clothing you know!! With this set of clothing I have never been in the sewers, but I had to steal them off of someone’s.... Clothing rack....” Perhaps admiting this to a cop wasn’t the smartest move, but she needed to defend herself in someway right?? Right..

It made her feel quite nervous, something told her not to go along, a small warnings on her HUD showed, but it was more of a distress signal than anything else. so she ignored it, nothing the man did proved her that she was evil, mean or vicious, rather, the opposite. He was honest, and so far he seemed like he had nothing to hide. Not even for a stranger like herself. So she nodded, after a moment thinking. “O-Okay.. Is there a specific place in the DPD you would like me to wait Sir??” Shizuka fidgeted, her form small, her head a bit lowered, as she wasn’t trying to show her shyness.. She would have a home, temporary, but still!! A home!! Trying not to be too excited

A smile appeared on Gavins face when she hummed like that, was that the sound of a happy android? If so, Gavin liked hearing that. He still couldn’t believe that a little more than a year ago he hated Androids and now he was feeling very much comfortable around them. Amazing how quickly people changed. For better but he was sure also for worse.

Then he laughed “Fuck, I’m not a master.” he said, shaking his head and taking another strand into the braid. “I’m just a father doing his job.” he never understood why other dads only let their women braid their daughters hairs. It was so relaxing.

“If you like it, you can come over whenever you like, we can also try new stuff if you are up for it.” he suggested. The other two would surely have nothing against it when Shizu came over from time to time. It made the house more lively and he was sure Connor was all for it having another friend around. Maybe she even could befriend him. The stupid android kept too much to himself. Only ever working and never going out.

“Hm, you look like Rapunzel with that braid.” he said smiling, remembering the old movie Tangled his sister made him watch when they were kids. All she was missing were a few flowers and of course the length.

The android kept on humming, until the laughter of the human male reached her ears, her sky blue eyes widened, looking his way for just a moment, never before had she heard him laughed to her the way he just did, it made the corner of her own lips tug into a smile, but she would keep it to herself. Turning her head back again she he could finish her up. “Well~” Shizuka started” I think you would be dad of the year~ If you were to do this for your daughter ever single day! The skill of braiding is not easily mastered” The android put up some silly little voice when she said so, 

His request came to her as a complete surprise, making her fully turn to him, her features form into one of utter surrpise.” You mean, me coming over, to your place?? Are you sure?? Can I really??” Sky blue looked hopeful, as she grew to like the older male, he was like an uncle she never could imagined to have. “I would love to~!! I want to come over and have you braid my hair again, I loved it, the feeling of someone playing around with my hair!” 

At the mention of her top 10 princesses of all times Shizuka jumped up, sparkling and smiling. “You watched Tangled too~!! I love Rapunzel!! She is like my third favourite princess, ever~!!” Shizuka hadn’t seen the braid yet, but if she did, she would have probably hugged him for making her look similar enough to the Disney princess

Elijah chuckled a bit, smiling at her, “ ‘The world was such a wholesome place until Cruella, Cruella De…. Vil..’ ” he let the words fade from his tongue, something familiar about them. His smile faded as he dropped his eyes lower from her face. He’d always thought he’d heard the name somewhere before. But it was strange how correct it was, though seeing the actual devil wear it was more on the nose than this Disney villain.

“ 'But after time has worn away the shock’, ” he went on quoting the song, not even thinking of the same De Vil anymore as hiss hands clenched tight, “ 'you come to realize you’ve seen her kind of eyes watching you from underneath a rock,’ ” he paused, letting the silence hang for a moment before he refocused on her, smiling a little, “ Oh, sorry, Shizu. Where were we? ”

Her face had lit up when he sang the song, it had left like it had been an eternity since she heard him sing, it always calmed her. But the sudden change of emotion confused her, as he seemed to fall in a state of trance when he sang his song. His actions made her tilt her head, returning his small smile with a confused one of her own.”Daddy, are you okay?? You seemed out of it for a moment, are you feeling unwell?? Your emotional level just rose a little” Nuzzling her dad, sky blue eyes looked up, worry eminated in them. “I am here if you need me, I am here if you wish to talk, remember~”

Your master is disappointed in you little witch. He knows you are fond of that hunter. He is furious with your meddling.

The young witched stood baffled to the stranger, sky blue wide open as they claimed her master was disappointed in her. No!! He couldn’t be!! Why would he be mad that Connor seemed to.... Looking back at the letter Connor had written her, making emotions stir inside of her, fighting over which one she should believe, sweet sweet Connor who always aided her whenever she needed some, who she grew so fond of, the guy who never judged her actions or misjudged her. The letter proving how much he truly cared for her, It had made her heart ache, The fact that he left to search for a way to free her from darkness, She wished to have at least seen him one last time before his departure… Wishing to protect him as much as he did for her….. But he was already gone…. to a place she could probably not reach him. 

She understood why her master would be furious, someone tried to stop the darkness from spreading inside of her, the pain unbearable, now even when she wasn’t using her magic. Shizuka did everything for her master, but the one thing she couldn’t was letting go of Connor. How bad would he punish her?? How mad was he truly for her heart desiring someone. For wishing she could be with that person?? The stranger was right…. He would be furious, Very very so. What should she do?? 

Panic inside of her swelled, the darkness now even painted over her neck and face. her hands and ankles. it was everywhere, Clinging onto the letter, the only thing left that kept her feel like she wouldn’t be taken over by the magic that broken her down. Letting a single tear spill, as sky blue eyes looked at the dark air around them, her home in shambles. As she patiently awaited her master, waiting, for her next lesson. Waiting to be drowned into the pain of submission to the power he granted her. 

“Be safe, oh brave hunter, may  your courage never waver, let it guide you to the truth you so believe… I shall wait, even if it would be for eternity” She sang softly, Letting the wind carry them to the one who was meant to hear them. Before she faced her own master, greeting her father like figure with a hug. No matter how she wished she could believe her beloved hunter, Corvus simply, couldn’t be other than her mentor, her master, her father.

He hummed, smiling at her, “ Before Mickey, Disney had Oswald the lucky rabbit. But, of course, due to corporate sabotage, lack of contract renewals, and competition stealing animators, Walt had to replace Oswald with the mouse. But, Oswald got his time in the light again in 2010 when he was a featured character in the Epic Mickey game series. ”

When his request for a bigger budget was rejected, Walt left Universal and decided to create a new character since the company owned the rights to his original cartoon. Corvus reached out to cup her cheek. Such a young witch, innocent but naive. As long as he twists her to the dark it will be easier to find the tome he seeks. “Have I not cared for you enough to trust my teachings?”

Wishing to answer that question, Shizuka held her jaw tightly shut. Not wanting to pretend her knowledge would extend above his. He was more wise. He had more experience than any witch, wizard or sorcerer she ever read about. Taking a deep breath, feeling the darkness flow through her. Feeling it tingle in her fingers and toes, and spreading further in. But the pain, the unbearable pain.

Corvus's words spread through her mind, clinging to the like they were something physical to hold. Doing as he wants of her. She felt the black marks spread over her arms. The places they touched her body felt numb. And so she concentrated at the numbness they brought her. Until he cupped her cheek. Sky blue looking at him like big doe eyes.

"M-Master!! No I didn't mean to...." She shook, not wishing to upset him." I am just scared, Scared I wrong you and your teachings, I wish to do right as your student" the magic inside her started to hurt more. Sparks of uncontrolled energy leaving her fingers as water surrounded them." No, its not you Master I promise, your teachings are the greatest I have ever seen!! I wish to learn from you to repay your kindness and caring... Please forgive me" the little witch plead desperately.

Still she gave up. What an interesting creature. One of his reapers steps beside him holding out his sword. The hilt a pure silver, engraved with small skulls of previous souls collected. At least those who would forever serve. Wrapping his hands around the weapon he steps forward.

“Witch. You who have taken the place of your friend.” He slices her flesh along her shoulder. Nothing too deep. Just to make his mark. “I am claiming you as mine. I will have you serve me for all eternity. You should consider this a blessing. I don’t show kindness to most.” 

A hand reaches out swiping the blood to the tip of his finger for a taste. “Witch. Do you accept? And I warn you. I do not take no for an answer.” 

The reaper approached, sword in hand to finally take her soul and the village she so adored, so longed to be in, and be part of those who had always treated her like an outcast. But she so longed to be part of the village, that acting like a sacrfice, she hoped they would see that they, even if she was a witch by birth, that she was harmless. But alas, Here she stood. 

When the tip of his sword made a mark on her shoulder, Shizuka, tried not to flinch, but the sting in her shoulder made her yelp softly, the words swimming in her head, before finally making sense. He wanted to make her, his?? “What?? No!! I am a sacrifice, not some marriage canditate!!” There was confusion in her voice, but also she wasn’t too sure how to react to, this. 

“I..... I’m sorry, great and wise one, I cannot accept it. Please take my soul as sacrfice and safe my village!! I beg of you. They need food to survive the winter” Shizuka looked at him as tears filled her eyes. It was a crazy idea!! Of course she couldn’t be claimed by someone who had such great power, she was just a young witch, one with not even a percentage of the experience this guy must have.
