This is my uma OC, Mr. Prospector, based on the famed American racehorse and sire of the same name!

Nicknames: Prospector, Prospe, Specs (by her team members,) El Prospector (El Condor Pasa)
Mr. Prospector is a spunky umamusume seeking fame and fortune.
She likes collecting rocks and racing.
She’s a foreign exchange student at Tracen Academy from the United States.
Optimistic and stubborn, always looking at the bright side, and living life at her own pace (fast)
Childhood friends with El Condor Pasa (irl horse was El’s grandpa)
Also friends with Seeking the Pearl (also Pearl’s grandpa) and my other uma ocs, La Prevoyante, Fair Play, and Ghostzapper
Weak, offset knees and prone to illness
Started racing and school a year or two later than her peers due to illness
Gay little rivalry with Secretariat, who is haunting the narrative (she’s not dead in universe, I just don’t think I’m powerful enough yet to portray him)

Basically, they live in an alternate universe where their sensei completely shut down, because who is doing maintenance on construct from thousands of years ago? So they’ve been on their own for the past ~900 years and the school is governed by the president and their ministers.
Pink Tourmaline - President, mohs 7.5
Tourmaline is calm, collected, and good at making decisions. They’re the third oldest surviving gem and very experienced in multiple jobs. Along with sewing, organizing, and documenting, they also used to patrol, but rarely do anymore. A long time ago, their partner, Prasiolite, was taken to the moon and Tourmaline feels some amount of responsibility. The two never had a very good relationship, constantly bickering—Prasio was just so stubborn and irresponsible—but every once in a while, they wish they were here.
Topaz is aloof and unsociable. They mostly talk to and spend time with Tourmaline and almost no one else. Due in part to Tourmaline practically adopting them when they formed. Despite how it seems, Topaz does actually like pretty much everyone and wants to protect them and save everyone who’s been lost, including gems they never got the opportunity to meet. Unfortunately, they have no idea how to communicate that care to others, so most of the others are wary of them.
Azurite - Doctor/Minister of Health, mohs 3.5
A large portion of Azurite’s body is actually dioptase, due to being consumed by Malachite while they formed. So, because of this uncommon circumstance and their low hardness, they decided to become the school’s official doctor. They wish Malachite would stop avoiding them; Azurite doesn’t blame them at all for what happened, but Malachite still feels guilty. Personality wise, Azurite is generally the nervous and non-confrontational type.
Chocolate Diamond - Minister of Education, mohs 10
Since Sensei’s shut down, Choco has taken it upon themself to educate the younger gems and is quite good at it. They have a warm and patient personality, and work well with others—due in part to being the oldest surviving gem. On the side, they are working on finding a way to wake up Sensei, but nothing is working so far. Sometimes, they look to the moon and wonder if maybe…never mind. At the moment, they’re patrol partners with a young gem named Bumblebee Jasper, who they spend most of their time looking after these days.
My first attempt at realism in a while >< I’m not really satisfied with it, but I thought it could be fun to try to match the style used in Ann and Al’s original box art.
Ough I love Nekomura Iroha so much. I would kill for a new voicebank. This design is mostly based on her V2, but with a few specific details from V4 standard. I guess you could technically call this a genderbend? Anyway, the color palette was such a struggle. To aim for a more traditionally masculine vibe, I tried to avoid using pink, which was difficult given that pink is one of Iroha’s main colors. I considered basing the design on Dear Daniel rather than Hello Kitty, but I decided not to. Gender is fickle and ephemeral. Hello Kitty is eternal.
