:◇: Hello and welcome to this blog! I'm Mod Ditto, an adult dupligenital ambiguine individual who has been part of the intersex community for years, online and in-person. This blog is centered around genital duplication and the opt-in "dupligenital" label, prioritizing education and community.

urethral duplication flag, for anyone who has duplicate urethras

urethral triplication flag, for anyone who has triplicate urethras

urethral triplication does fall under the urethral duplication umbrella, but wanted to make a separate flag anyway. i found out that i have urethral triplication and i havent even really met anyone with even duplicate urethras, so i made this in hopes people like me feel less alone as sappy as it sounds lol. the darker colors on the outside of both flags represent deviation from the norm. the middle colors of each flag represents the duplication and triplication of said norm. the inner colors of both represent bodily acceptance. the blues being duplication and purple being triplication respectively

these flags are for people who bodily have urethral duplication and triplication exclusively, radqueers this is not a flag for you. please contact me before adding to any wikis

as for my own experiences, i have urethral triplication and mesospadias and i do not experience this, but i feel the main reason i dont is because i have very little sensation in that area to begin with

Thurber said the amendment [to Texas HB 229] has little impact because it doesn’t specify any accommodations and doesn’t properly define either of the two binary genders. The law defines women as individuals “whose biological reproductive system is developed to produce ova” and men as individuals “whose biological reproductive system is developed to fertilize the ova of a female.” Because Klinefelter syndrome causes infertility for some individuals and Thurber’s testosterone levels are very low as result of her intersex variation, may not fit into either category. “I literally fall into a third gender, according to this law, a third gender that is not defined. So, does that mean I legally don’t exist?” Thurber said.

It's been hard lately, hasn't it? I think in times like this, we need to remind ourselves of what we have to love, and make truly positive connections with one another.

I'd like to start by asking, what are your favorite intersex symbols? Do you like the classic orchid, or have you got an association all your own?

We enjoy double stemmed and double spiked orchids as dupligenital symbols specifically 💟 We do not personally have a variation resembling the reasoning behind the orchid choice, we still enjoy it as a symbol. Orchids are commonly associated with power and strength in some way, alongside fertility, love, and sensuality. I think that these associations are wonderful to have for the intersex community.

Aside from orchids, of course we have the unbroken circle ⭕️, particularly in purple, and the colors yellow and purple. These are my personal favorites. The dupligenital-specific equivalent would be :◇: or :<>:, similar to the symbol on our flag, alongside the colors pastel green, pastel blue, and pastel pink.

Outside of these common symbols, we have a few animal ones we like. Chimera creatures (chimera, wolpertinger, etc), antlered doe deer, calico tom cats, maned lionesses, and bilateral gynandromorphic creatures are all good symbols. For dupligenitalia specifically, Mod Ditto has been considering double-headed snakes as a possible symbol to use in the future. 🙂

:◇: I've already explained the definition of dupligenital and genital multiplication, but what does genital multiplication look like? What conditions might fall under genital multiplication?

This post contains medical terminology and description of genitalia. There is discussion of intersex infant genital mutilation here. This is education, not NSFW. I am not a medical professional, this information is collected from various sources that will be presented at the end for you to do your own research. Please feel free to send in other sources and corrections. 🙂

Genital multiplication, as discussed previously, refers to the natural multiplication of a part of ones genitalia that is unexpected or diverges from the norm. This multiplication occurs during fetal development and is something the individual is born with and has their entire life, but may only become visible or apparent later in life, particularly during puberty, when undergoing hormone replacement therapy, or when attempting to be or becoming pregnant. Genital multiplication can cause many difficulties such as UTIs, painful cramps, struggles with birth, lack of functionality, and general self esteem issues. Even with these potential difficulties, treatment for genital multiplication should always be opt-in and chosen by the patient without coercion, but it is very rare patients with genital multiplication are given the choice.

Genital multiplication can be overtly visible from the outside or something you need internal imaging technology to see. Overtly visible forms may be something like diphallia, duplicate clitoris, complete longitudinal vaginal septum, polyorchidism, or urethral duplication. Many of these are also associated with internal variations such as uterine didelphys and bladder duplication. Many overtly visible forms of genital multiplication are reported as incredibly rare, and with IGM so common and still a reccomended treatment for most forms of genital duplication, it is even rarer to have it be visible. This isn't to say that nobody has this, but rather that the rarity of this is in part manufactured through medical violence, like with so many other intersex spectrum conditions.

When you say you won't tolerate pro-paraphilia, do you mean you won't tolerate people being pro-contact or just you won't tolerate pro-"having a paraphilia is morally neutral because thoughts/urges ≠ actions"?

Hi!! Thanks for the question. We are against pro-contact/harm paraphilias. We have nothing against people struggling with thoughts, urges, intrusive thoughts, et cetera! Though personally we disagree with the concept of a "paraphilic disorder" and believe these things should be treated as a symptom and not the whole picture, we won't force that view on others. 🙂

:◇: What is Dupligenital? A brief history and definition 🙂

HISTORY - Dupligenital's flag was created by @gonyadaldysgenesis [post linked here], based on the term gonyadaldysgenesis coined in response to an anonymous asker, whom requested to coin a term representing conditions like diphallia and uterine didelphys [post linked here]. Dupligenital has since been rarely used or recognized, and this blog was created by Mod Ditto on January 28th, 2026 to raise awareness for this terms existence and create a community space, based on an influx of other blogs based on specific intersex variations or traits.

DEFINITION - Dupligenital is a label for those with innate variations in sex characteristics that include a multiplication of ones genitalia or a part of their genitalia. Dupligenital does not just refer to having just two of the affected trait. Any multiple of the affected trait can fall under dupligenital, as long as its not typically expected to occur and occurred naturally. Dupligenital is not a medical term, it is moreso a community term. The medical parallel, genital duplication/multiplication, is used to describe specific variations and conditions, as one may expect. Not everyone with a variation of genital duplication/multiplication will identify as dupligenital, and thats fine 🙂 Dupligenital is a term for those who want to embrace their genital duplication in the intersex and larger queer community, online and in person, and find community with other dupligenital people.

term that's been floating around in my mind. hypergenital- when a variation causes "extra" genitalia. Like polyorchidism, septated vagina, cervix, uterus, diphallia ... Not exactly cliteromegaly since that's covered by ambiguous genitalia and mixed genitalia etc etc and I'm more talking about having Multiple Of Something

maybe not hypergenital but just something to express having "more" genitalia than what's expected. Extragenital? Magigenital?. What do you think would work? sorry for brainstorming on anon xP
