How early do you start thinking about lighting in your process?

Before & after lighting the virtual gallery. After block out & onto figuring out the art direction, I do a couple tests with lighting. Lighting really helps ground the style & gives me ideas on directing attention.

Anyone suggest good tools for creating wind sound effects?

Wanting a dynamic tool or VST that'll let me play around with it. Extra points if its free or cheap.

I saw a video of snow getting caught in an updraft at the top of an abandoned skyscraper. The way it danced and floated just looked unreal. It kind of inspired me to try to make a particle system that feels that ethereal.

I can already tell this scene is going to be my next favorite place to sit down and decompress.

HAPPY SPOOKY MONTH! This is a printable model that's up on my itchio for "Pay-What-You-Want".

I sculpted this lil dude about a year ago and have been printing and sellin' him ever since. He was sculpted in Shapelab and somewhat cleaned up in Blender.

It's high time I upload him for others to print and bask in the glory of MOTHMAN!

This is one of my first sculpts so the poly count is way too high. I tried to decimate it while still keeping quality. Attached is both the high and low resolution versions as .FBX .STL and .OBJ file types. I don't have a file with supports or sliced files. As someone with multiple different printers I find that I have to support and slice differently per machine. So I'm burdening you with that responsibility. GLHF!

These words comes from a 1993 report from Sandia National Laboratories aimed at Long-term nuclear waste warning messages that are non-linguistically in nature.

How do you convey these words without language?

The Sandia report explored designs for physical markers which conveyed the concepts of dangerous emanations, shapes that evoke bodily harm, and the concept of "shunned land" that appears destroyed or poisoned.

The two renders are screen grabs from an interactive art piece I'm working on. I plan on submitting it to the Springfield Art Association's Wicked exhibit. The other two images are the original sketches by Mike Brill.

I know I'll be able to make a controller work. I'm hoping to get a VR version done so people can be fully immersed in this space. We will see though.
