feel like when i was younger i didnt pick up on a lot of the issues with how the first slayer is presented but my gd they really do spend all of Restless portraying her as animalistic and inhuman and then buffy makes a racist comment about her hair. after they disturbed her from her final resting death to use her as a tool weapon killer for the greater good. when she spent most of her very short life enslaved by the council to stand as a barrier between upper propriety and death and hold the whole worlds fate on her shoulders as a little girl forged into that shape of tool weapon killer. sineya they did you so dirty in life and death.... also hard not to draw parallels btwn that reanimation of sineya's spirit and what is done to buffy in season 6
s7 being all “apocalypse is coming, we are fighting the biggest enemy so far, it’s war” and then these two just be living in their own sitcom

it’s kinda insane to think angel said you deserve someone who can take you into the light in the prom and five episodes later spike has the gem of amara and fights buffy in the sunlight.

one of my favorites hc of mine is the idea that spike is overly protective of buffy when it comes to sickness
he knows perfectly well that she is capable of standing up for herself in any situation and with anyone, but oh boy, don't even mention the idea of her having a cold, because he becomes insufferable
he has alarms set for every pill or medication she needs to take, and he knows home remedies and little tricks that help her feel better
he cooks countless different soups and stays vigilant, acting as if buffy’s life were at stake, even though it’s just a simple case of the flu
he simply loves being her personal nurse, loves being able to care for her and being needed in that situation, because it makes him feel useful to her, and the idea of treating her sweetly and pampering her makes him so happy
he uses cute and sometimes incredibly sappy nicknames, especially when he’s helping her eat, she’s his "precious big-eyed baby who’s insufferable and whiny all the time but still lets herself be taken care of" he even speaks to her in a special, ridiculous voice that makes buffy roll her eyes
Taking care of her when she's sick and forcing her to rest constitutes protecting her from herself and her tendency to push too hard. And he knows that that is the one thing that she really does need someone else to protect her from. This is his time to shine.

Come to think of it, it really is insane that my entire country is burning alive and literally no one in the rest of the world cares. Thousands of Indians are dying every day from the heat, it's 45+ degrees in multiple areas, the government couldn't give two fucks, we're getting severe warnings and red alerts, and not a soul outside of South Asia is speaking about it because why would you ever care about brown people
