A Girl With a Dream: Study Abroad

PITTSBURGH, PA

From the time that i was a little girl, I’ve always had huge dreams of travel. My love for all cultures grew as I got older. However, two cities in particular had a deeper effect. London & Paris. I remember watching Madeline as a child and wishing that I could one day see the Eiffel Tower. I became so interested in all of the Art, History, Traditions, Customs and the Architecture of both London and Paris. I knew that I just HAD to get there somehow and immerse myself in the culture. Though the closest I got in high school was our French Club, I still kept positive. 

Now, as a Graduate Student in the Professional Counseling Program of Carlow University, I have the opportunity of a lifetime. My dream trip, called “Tale of Two Cities”. My University is offering this AMAZING study abroad trip! Our small group will travel to London and Paris. We will be visiting and learning about how some amazing places have shaped not only the the city, but the world! Some of our excursions include: Buckingham Palace National Gallery, STONEHENGE!, Musse D’Orsay, The Louvre (we can see the Mona Lisa!), The Eiffel Tower, and Notre Dame. 

This trip means so much to me. I know that this opportunity will not come around again. I have dreamed of this for so long and now that it’s so close, I feel so blessed. The trip is about $5,000 and while some can be covered by my financial aid, I still have some outstanding expenses for this trip!

Any help that you can offer will be greatly appreciated and such an amazing blessing!
