First Aid is a valuable skill wherever you are in the world and I’ve been able to use my training many times in everyday settings - amongst civilization. (An infant in a park choking on a leaf. Witnessing a car crash in an intersection, and helping the victims. A stranger on the city street laying in the curb. And more....) But what do you do when you or someone you’re with (or come across) is in the back country... out of phone coverage, hours or days away from a hospital? We train for these scenarios hoping we never have to use them, but I am excited to announce the next certification in my adventure - NOLS Wilderness First Aid. (at Los Angeles, California)

Multiple images: @tkvw12 was passed out from an intense day of skiing so I decided to let him rest and do some exploring myself. I love time like this. You often don’t know where the road might take you and you rarely know what’s just around the bend. On these eve of Easter, and after a beautiful day with my kid - @tkvw12 asked to take a walk after dinner. We turned the corner and BAMMM. WOW - a most beautiful sky!
