firebending came easy, earthbending came easy and of course waterbending came even easier to the avatar, but the airbending, the airbending continued to confuse her. as much as a pro she was at harnessing the other elements, she still had some work to do with the damn airbending. and after all of this, it had started to begin to annoy her.

                 ❛  maybe i'm just not meant to airbend. an avatar, not able to airbend.. what good am i to everyone then?  ❜

she stands once again. brushing herself off, as a means to say ' she's starting over ' and by god was she going to get it this time. her shoulders square up, planting both her feet to the ground ; the seriousness in her eyes never falters as she waits for her counterpart to begin the second bout of training.

                 ❛  i was born, ready! seriously, elsa, i can't wait to try this. y'know there's not a lot of time for the avatar to go ice skating. especially like this.  ❜

the teen's eyes light up at the elemental prowess before her ; swift movements, her fingers delicately touching the air ; wisps of water circle around them, it's cold and she can see her own breath ; all the more reason for the excitement. she pushes up a few waves from the bottom of the lake, to make them a ramp or two. while creating divots on the surface of the water, it wasn’t your average skating rink, it posed more of a challenge for korra. which of course she enjoyed, more than most.

I’ve been going through major Avatar withdrawals lately. I watched all of Book One with my friend this weekend. Our full series marathon didn’t go as planned, but it was wonderful none the less.
