do you have any advice for someone who just turned 20 (me, i hate it here) ? like shit that i absolutely NEED to know/do in my twenties?

Take care of your body (sleep, exercise, regular meals) and your mind (hobbies and socializing). Remember you deserve to be treated well and that you can always start over. Don’t stay in situations that make you unhappy if you can help it. Try to save a little money if you can. Learn how to cook a few easy meals that will get you through hard days (Mine are Shakshuka and vegetable tray bakes with feta). Don’t forget to have fun and party and do stupid things sometimes, but always with friends you can trust and always go home together. Keep 50 bucks in cash on you in case your debit card declines. Make mistakes and learn from them, but don’t linger. Remember that time with your love ones is finite and call them if you can. Always keep a quick snack on you in case you get hungry. Brush your teeth twice a day and go to the dentist for check ups. Be mindful of lifting heavy things by yourself, you can seriously injure yourself and its not worth it. Never forget that you are smart and capable and brave and that you will find a way through.

puttering around the house is an underrated form a self-care. make some tea or coffee. put on a podcast. sort the mail. tidy some pillows and fold some blankets. start the laundry. thaw some soup. just casually wander around aimlessly doing little things to make your space and life a little nicer. who cares if you get distracted or only do a little. you aren't being productive. you're puttering.
