I love opening up this website first thing like the morning paper and immediately seeing multiple posts like "how to get rid of the evil clown on the dashboard". like oh is this what we're doing today
I'm gonna start adding this to every post I see about this advertising bs that tumblr are pulling
not only is it annoying, and in some countries probably illegal for not declaring a paid partnership
TUMBLR IS CROSSING THE PICKET LINE
They are taking money from Netflix to promote a show.
Actors and writers are unable to promote work because of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Netflix is under the AMPTP, so it is a struck company, making One Piece a struck work.
So they are using alternate ways of promoting their products, including paying companies like tumblr.
Both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA have made statements saying that they consider anyone or company taking payment to promote struck work as crossing the picket line.
Tumblr is spitting in the face of struggling actors and writers to make a quick buck from Netflix
every time i remember that photo of the little inuk girl with her puppy i engage in inconsolable hysterics

For context: In that production of King Lear by the Royal Shakespeare Company, Sir Ian McKellen, playing the titular character in a scene where Lear has essentially gone round the bend, strips completely naked right there on stage. New York critic Michael Portantiere, noted in his review, “Special note for those who care about such things: In a brief nude scene, McKellen amply demonstrates the truth of Lear’s statement that he is ‘every inch a king’.”
#wow go ian mckellan #also a+ flirting there taron
The above scene is amazing but I also feel we need to take a moment to appreciate the fact that a respected theatre critic took time to mention in their review of this production of King Lear that Ian McKellen has a truly impressive penis
@bucklikethedollar why would you hide poetry like this in the notes
I rest my case

Part Two! Two witches are forced to cohabitate in order to raise the baby promised to both of them.
This comic was based on this post. (You can also see my old version on the link if you wanna see how far it's come.)
If you enjoyed this make sure to check out Part One, and if you feel very generous and had a nice time you can drop me a Ko-fi. Comics are a labor of love and money really helps out while I'm in school!

I reckon it's very telling how easily the Cop show replaced the Western as like the default US action genre. Both expressions of the same fundamental worldview just in different settings with different signifiers
I think a lot of stuff about DnD (especially the earlier editions themselves but also just the general assumptions that filtered down to today) makes sense if you realise how much influence the Western had on it. Like once again it expresses the same sort of ideology just with different signifiers; swords instead of sixshooters, knights instead of cowboys, orcs instead of "injuns"
Our Hero (cop/cowboy/adventurer) is marauding into a hostile, unconquered place (urban centre/indigenous land/fantasy wilderness) that, while notionally uninhabited, is occupied by an inherently-dangerous other (criminals/indigenous people/orcs) who are morally permissible to kill by the dozens - the power imbalance, which makes killing dozens of these opponents, without seriously fearing for one's own life in each encounter, possible, is a natural, positive thing. The pure innocents being protected (white suburbia/white settlement/white townsfolk) are defenseless, sheep against wolves, needing above-human individuals as their sheepdogs. The Heroes take wealth and power in exchange for very little risk, and the ability to kill with impunity - but, we can be assured, they do it out of moral selflessness, defense of the helpless against an assuredly-real threat. They're brave. They venture into the (drug-user's house/indigenous family's campsite/dungeon).
In a hypothetical scenario where a powerful malevolent force has possessed Melody and is going to do a big evil world destruction or something of that sort, then would Allison be able to defeat Melody to save the world or would she instead like, jump in front of the Paladin Brigade's finishing attack because she doesn't want Melody to get hurt? Alternatively, what would Melody do if Allison was the one possessed?
i think in a scenario like this neither of them would be able to hurt the other, and also couldn't stand to see anyone else hurt them, either. assuming any sort of nonviolent incapacitating strategies (sleep spells, etc.) don't work, they would resort to trying to get through to each other on an emotional level to try and loosen the grip of whatever's possessing them. hope this helps with your slarpg sadstuck fic anon
Was it a deliberate act of subversion for you to make Claire, the cow girl, have the smallest boobs in the entire main SLARPG party?
