Bivenlow, dashing towards him with a finger raised scoldingly: Stop it!

Shalyse, pretensiously: *Gasp* Personal distance!

Bievenlow nearly jumps away from him like from fire, embarrassed, and he laughs

age of sails au (hell ye)

- S as the pirate captain, harsh w/ his enemies but fair w/ his mates - flies a frigate

- B as the marine general who sailed on a man o' war but lost his ship at the violent storm and a fight w/ the empire's fleet - he + like 5 of his mates (out of 450) were picked up by S's crew as they sailed by the wrecks

- Lady Mireille as the old wealthy woman on the pirate's land everyone loves

- Aavie as a random kid they picked up at a ship they boarded (w/ B)

- B & crew become prisoners to S who wants to cell them to whoever pays much for "naval dogs"

- after some time of bullying and mocking, B stands up for themselves & the crew and challenges S to a fight (bc it wasn't the loss in a battle that made them captives), and S is impressed by the audacity. The fight ends w/ a draw, but S counts it as B's win, and the 6 become members of the crew for the time being

- on the pirate's land, B figures out his country framed him for the loss in the battle as if he's done it on purpose

- [sailing]

- when they part, B spends some time on land but doesn't feel belonging

- B finds out S and his crew lost to a fleet and were captured to be hanged

- B comes go Lady Mireille who gives them one of her (/S's) ships to go get them

- B fights the man o' war and boards her

- Aavie comes under the deck and frees the lads while B's crew (that he got from pirate's land (outfit)) fights w/ the marines

- S's crew flee to the B's ship and then they reunite

- happy end

Hyper light drifter au w/ Shalyse & Bievenlow (and Aavie as B's little sister <3) because i still adore hyper light drifter world building and palette

- both of them amazing fighters

- B as overcautious bc the world out there is full of danger and if they (as the best fighter) die, there'll be no one to take care of the rest of the folks - it's also what he hells S who rushes into everything like they have 100 lives

- romance in a cruel, violent environment <3

- epic twist at the end that the characters in the au don't even understand (retraced universe)

i even went as far as to make them an outfit sheet

au where Bievenlow got torn between reality and astral dimension and helplessly has to face multiple threats from the lost souls that only they can see. yet then, Shalyse appears - an sould of a swift swordsman who is bound to be near Bievenlow for some reason. They make a journey and Shalyse is being very protective, but one day Bievenlow asks to be taught fencing so the other isn't as alarmed when they're attacked, and gets the basics

The two become friends, and once at night by the fire it comes to the topic how the two couldn't even high five (Bievenlow explains what that means) even if they wanted to, and awkwardly let go off it like it isn't a big deal.

One day, Bievenlow reaches the place he was destined to save, and whilst having a huge battle as Shalyse sweeps waves of enemies from him and shields of arrows, he does - lights up a life crystal. Just about when a blade is thrusted through his chest. He falls, and it is a matter of instants when Shalyse is at his side, frantically looking for a way to heal them. He lifts Bievenlow's chest a little, asks to hang on, but the latter faintly smiles. It is then that Shalyse realizes that he can touch Bievenlow which means they are now fully in the realm of the fallen. He stares at the other in daze and then guiltily drops his gaze, whispers a heavy "I'm sorry", but his sight rises back up as he feels a hand on his cheeck. Bievenlow looks at him softly and smiles again. And then, he tugs Shalyse into the embrace so long desired, holds him close and disregards the cold armor completely.

Shalyse is frozen, but just for a moment, as the next thing Bievenlow knows is he is hugged back, tightly and trembling.

All while the burned grounds bloom colorfully underneath them, and the sky turns golden.

Writing is first and foremost about having fun.

So write the story you want to write, no matter how cliché or overdone of a concept it might be. You are allowed to explore your ideas, create your write stories, even if it happens to be filled with millions of things we’ve already seen before.

As long as you enjoy what you're doing, and are passionate about your projects, that's more than enough reason to continue! So try not to give too much thought into what other people are trying to tell you, because there’s an audience for everything. Some people do actively seek out stories with ''washed up'' concepts.

Besides, you are not sacrificing your creativity by choosing to write about something that has been done before. Quite the opposite.

i do realize i'm actually doing a very bad job at keeping this blog going, but the semester starts next week, and then it's rip writing for sure

Me: my characters feel a bit all over the place, there's something messy about them i don't quite understand. perhaps if i write out all their characterictics and motivations on an actual sheet of paper it'll help structure them better, make things somewhat clear.
