So many epiphanies happening in the Ballum fandom at the moment. With very few exceptions, people have been just Ben fans, after all. Which is totally valid, by the way.

All I'm going to say about today's EE is that Ben was absolutely incredible and Max is one of the most perfectly cast people in the history of soap goodbye.

Honestly, the power Ben has over me. And Max in his performances.

I have spent weeks furious at Callum over this affair.

But Ben comes in with his absolutely pure devotion to Callum and how can I be mad at Ben's soulmate?

Ben wants Callum back, it's clear, and I won't deny him that no matter how much I hate what Callum has done to him or who Callum has become with this affair story.

I think it was great to direct the story to this crux of hurt and betrayal that really caused the whole affair in the first place—it was never about callum and Johnny, it was about THEM. Ben and Callum. THEIR relationship and the trust that was broken. The moment the show went back to that emotional core, the affair storyline felt so much more engaging and real
