contrary to common intentions authors have when making such characters, making a character low empathy is one of the fastest ways to get me to like them. "isn't it freaky that this guy just doesn't understand what they do to people? aren't you so unsettled and creeped out right now" bro you have just described to me a tragic tale of isolation wherein the chasm of separation only grows wider & deeper with every attempt to reach beyond
the thing about caring about ableism and fighting for disability rights, is that you can't center it about just your disabilities. i'm not d/Deaf. i still care whether an event has sign interpreters. i don't have photosensitive epilepsy. i still think that strobing lights are 99% of the time totally unnecessary and serve as a needless barrier to photosensitive people. i can transfer to a toilet mostly independently. i still think that public accessible bathrooms should have lifts and adult changing tables in them. you can't stop your disability activism where it stops benefitting you. that's not activism. that's selfishness
about that time of year to write yearning again. it’s a year-round thing but there’s a certain hollowness to the fall/winter months perhaps, where your body craves warmth more than anything
like, “sheesh it’s cold tonight. while i could get another blanket it’d be nicer to have that special someone by my side instead to keep me - us - toasty” but maybe you don’t and now you’re freezing (mentally, and physically), and longing for that sensation. something like that, but more poetic
when abled people talk about employability + disability I don't think they entirely understand the domino effect of unemployment/underemployment that can happen in a disabled person's life
the kinds of jobs that are considered 'unskilled' or 'entry level' are inaccessible for various reasons (e.g. involve having to stand up for long periods of time)
the time in your life when many people are expected to start working these entry level jobs is while you're still in school. the sheer exhaustion of school means that even when those jobs aren't completely inaccessible, many disabled people simply do not have the energy to do them
without any work experience, it's very hard to get work. the kinds of jobs that tend to have more accessible workplaces are either not entry-level or require a certain level of education to enter them. also without having gone through a hiring process before, it's very hard to even know what to expect from a job, which only creates additional barriers
even if you do have work experience, being disabled is not really taken as a valid reason to have gaps in your resume, which means you immediately look like a suspicious/risky hire to a HR department
disabled people, once we do have jobs, are more likely to be underemployed than abled people, meaning that we have fewer opportunities to demonstrate our skills in the workplace, and are less likely to be able to accumulate a back catalogue of good references to take with us in the 'getting a new job' mission. this itself keeps us underemployed
NOT to mention the fact that the exact same process can happen with respect to education (the being in special ed -> being able to go to university pipeline is basically non-existent. and if it is there, it is very hard to navigate). I'm not sure yet another 'employable skills program' can get us out of this one, chief
dump his ass. move to a walkable city. start hormones. get into fiber crafts. dye your hair weird. grow an herb garden. foster a distrustful cat. take a welding class. invite your friends over for tea and cake. get way too into obscure media. explore a new cuisine. lie to the police. protest in the streets. life has so many possibilities don't it?

People who use AI to write just don't understand. AI could never compare to the deranged story ideas that my mentally ill brain cooks up at 3AM.
not the same but this is the type of energy y’all have trying to tell people fanfics that contain dark content, triggering topics or problematic ships are bad and should not exist
actually I may have made something
the thing that bothers me with 7 deadly sin based characters is when they cant decide if they embody the sin by suffering from it or by drawing it out of others. ie. if your gluttony demon is a guy who loves eating then your lust demon should be a gooner sex pest. and if your lust demon is a seductive girlboss then your gluttony demon should be a 5 star chef. does this make sense.
I kinda think Benson would get off on the idea of Randy killing him, especially towards the end of the movie.
To get his hooks in one last time, really tear away a piece and fill it with himself.
To die by the hand of the only person in the world he believed was good and pure and worth something. To force him to sink to Benson’s level, to die being held by the only person in the world who matters, especially now that Benson has well and truly fucked his life.
I think Benson would die smiling.
