Why am I so scared of bread?
Finished my workout and went to my mums. She has no food in the house so I settled for two slices of granary bread toasted with a low fat spread. The bread is full of seeds and yums so full of fibre. Yet I feel like I've now wasted my workout. Can somebody please reassure me?
Here's why I don't fucking trust scales.
I just stood on my scales 3 times. I stood on them in different places in my house, all on hard floor (no carpet) And it gave me three different weights. I don't mean half a pound difference, I mean 3 or 4 pounds difference. (These scales are electronic) I feel I have lost weight. Clothes are starting to become loser again and I don't get so worn out at the gym. If your gonna weigh yourself go for the same spot and do it weekly. I also definitely recommend non electronic ones. (I think there's a conspiracy theory here 😜) Anyway I'm looking forward to another healthy day! 🙌
I'm really starting to notice a difference.
After years of restrictive diets, eating 1000 calories a day and then binging, I at first found it so hard to actually just eat. No more restricting. If anything by working out macros I can see that tbh I can eat what I want. By eating more at meal times, (rather than the 200 calories I used to eat) I'm less hungry in between and less likely to binge after dinner. I LOVE FOOD.
Eating before training.
I always train fasted if I can. Definitely if I train in the morning I won't eat a thing. Not because I think it improves my training; some would say it actually hinders it. But I find that if I eat before I workout I often feel bloated, sick and sluggish. Also I have such a sensitive stomach that I can actually make myself really ill. But today I've had to have a banana before working out, I was STARVING and now I have an hour til I train, will I be ok? 😬 What is everyone's opinion on fasted training? And do people really rely on pre workout supplements because they honestly have no effect on me?
Today's workout. I think circuits using just one piece of equipment are great especially in a busy gym. Just find your one piece a small bit of space and your good to go. I did this with a 8kg dumbbell. Some exercises I could of done with heavier (deadlifts 🙈) but I just made sure I did fast reps. Now for post workout yums.

Breakfast bowl of yum. Greek yoghurt, berries and I would love to be all healthy and say that's honey but it's toffee sauce 🙈 All within macros and so good for post circuit training ! X
Pan roasted yumminess 😬 Chicken, mixed herbs, olive oil and red peppers. I'll serve this with a hella load of peas. 💚 Getting in my protein!
I love love love berries with cinnamon sprinkled on top 💕 honestly tastes amazing and some say cinnamon is good for the metabolism? Who knows.
So I ended up having brunch today I guess rather than breakfast. I can't train on a full stomach so I always train fasted. Today I did 35 minutes of HIIT circuits and it killed me after a week of drinking and eating burgers and steak 😰 my HIIT usually includes 30 seconds of fast weighted reps (deadlifts, biceps curls etc) then 15 seconds of a cardio move (high knees, mountain climbers etc). My food (the best bit) was so yummy even though I burnt the omelette a bit 😭 egg white omelette, lean bacon, tomato, mushroom and a small amount of cheese. I really fancied HP sauce for the first time in years so I had a small amount of that too 🙈 I am so so bloated and my weight is right up at the moment but I know it's because I had a fabulous time in Vegas and I hAve no regrets. Now back to training hard and eating yummy food. Zoe X
