If you train in the morning before eating, you already know the feeling.
the alarm goes off at 6am. you're not hungry. you don't want to eat. you just want to get the workout done and get on with your day.
fasted training works for a lot of people. the fat-burning mechanism is real. but there's a tradeoff most people don't find out about until later: when your body runs out of readily available fuel, it starts breaking down muscle tissue for energy. it's called catabolism. it's the opposite of what you're working for.
BCAAs before a fasted session are genuinely useful here because they give your muscles direct amino acid support without requiring digestion or breaking your fast in any meaningful caloric sense. your muscles have what they need. the breakdown is minimised.
you're not cheating the fast. you're protecting the work.
this isn't about overcomplicating your morning routine. mix a scoop, shake it for 10 seconds, drink it on your way out. that's it.
sometimes the smallest habits do the heaviest lifting.
