love of my life, i keep seeing tik toks about this show and crying about how proud i am. my friend selling out arenas? i miss you so much. i am just about to start filming til the 23rd, meaning i am all yours. what if i come out for the show this saturday and tag along into your georgia shows next week? like seeing you in your home state? i will cry. if you can deal with me for a long weekend?

nick: i wish that had been the case. she deserved all the love, all of you did! if that call ever comes offering it back to you, though, i expect to hear about it immediately. nick: yeah, looking back now, i think it was the right thing too. at the time it didn't feel great because it was all we'd known for so long, but i think we all needed the chance to grow a little on our own. we got to figure out who we were outside of the band, and when we came back together, it felt like a choice rather than an obligation. i don't think we'd be where we are now if we hadn't taken that break... so my brothers should thank ME. nick: enough of the emotional reflection! what's new with you? give me the full update.

emily: promise you will be the first i call when i find out!! if it ever happens. emily: of course, at the time it was hard and it hurt but at the end of the day, you were a literally family and you had to do what was right for that. everything happens for a reason. yeah, it's like now you really know who you are and all have your own identities outside of the band, which makes things ever better. emily: i just wrapped a movie where i played mia hamm and now i am starting to film a reboot of 13 going on 30, so really taking on all the high pressure roles this year.

you still drank it? brave soul. think i tossed it after the first sip in fear of exactly that happening -- the raging hangover, i mean. i'm in the same boat as you when it comes to the hot air balloon ride. i hate heights but it wasn't too bad. what are you up to now that the trip is over?

you only live once, right? do the kids still say that or am i aging myself? fully hated myself the next day but i do this everytime i drink. i was very proud of myself for doing it and glad i did. i just wrapped a movie, start filming my next one on the 23rd so i am having a little break in between all the last minute pre production things.

no plan is sometimes the best plan, especially for something like this. people are just going to get to see you all's natural chemistry on and off screen. that's always refreshing to see. no, seriously. i still haven't had any so it's becoming a problem now officially. i'd hope so. unless i burn the hell out of something and then i fully expect a little roasting (no pun intended).

i love a no plan, plan. just wondering around, finding random things to do, stumbling into random bars they have been some of the best nights i've ever had. i for sure think it is going to come across on screen and i can't wait for it. you are so going to get roasted if you burn somethings. even if the next thing you make is worthy of a michelin star, i will still remind you of that.

yes, i just love it so much. i mean, i feel i know many people who have watched it more than once. i would love more seasons but i get that they want to see how this pans out. also, if there is another season, going to send you all the clips of me as mia hamm to be considered for the womens team on that show. it's a dream.

You did? That's awesome! And definitely explains the soreness. Definitely not, massages are supposed to be one of the most satisfying things in the world, why wouldn't you feel sad once it's over? Or maybe I just think that because I am actually am old.

it really was very cool, i feel honored i got to have that part. i hope they all like the movie when it comes out. good, because it was amazing and i was so sad when it ended. fully thought i would be judged if i just went back out to book another one right away. maybe we are both old and you know what? if it means more massages, i am okay with that.

nick: it would be cool. it's funny because the show keeps ending up on the most watched lists on prime video, and yet… they still won't renew it. i swear it's gonna become one of those cult shows people obsess over in a few years' time. nick: right? i think so too. i think we were completely burnt out. we'd gone straight from doing two movies, into a series, tours all over the place, constantly moving from one thing to another… it really was time to stop for a bit. at least for a while.

emily: i keep being told how well it is doing ... now! and it makes me so sad because if we had this hype a few months back, maybe we would be seeing more of jane. let's hope it does and we can step into her shoes again. emily: you did the right thing. i know it probably didn't feel like it at the time, but the break done everyone so well, you all got to do some fun stuff and then came back stronger than ever? i am so here for it.

I like that. Ambition is one of my favorite traits in people, it's such an underrated kind of energy. Monkeys loving me is honestly the best thing that could happen to me, though I feel like I'd get humbled by one of them stealing something from me. That feels like the natural order of things. And I don't think there's any state you could be in that he wouldn't like you, Em. If anything, I'm pretty sure sweatpants is the optimal setting. That's when you get the real test, if someone still thinks you're great when you look like you've fully given up on life for the day, that’s the real deal. Everything else is just bonus points. How was the trip for you, love?

that’s such a sweet way of putting it. and when it comes to me, you and this movie, i have all the ambition. i get what you mean about monkeys too; there’s something humbling and a little hilarious about them taking what they want without a second thought, it’s like nature’s reminder not to take ourselves too seriously. and i completely agree about sweatpants being the ultimate test of authenticity; anyone who still thinks you’re amazing in your most “done for the day” state is showing you the real, unfiltered appreciation. the trip was honestly great. a well needed break of you as me. what about you? got any tea to share?

it is such a comfort watch as well, i think i've watched it a few times over. probably will again. it must be so exciting for you. is this the last season or will we see more of ted?

i never had a chance to get to that one! how'd it feel being in the hot air balloon? they always seem so cool! i honestly kind of just walked around aimless with a glass of wine most of the trip. but i did the sip and paint thing with my roomie. learned i was horrible at painting.

it was so trippy, but so cool. i kept saying 'we are in a balloon' but the views were just insane. i would do it again in a heartbeat. that was the best part. just always having wine in your hand. well, good thing you are such a good actor and don't need to rely on your paint skills.

that means the press tour's going to be fun for you all. they're going to have you on buzzfeed doing lie detector tests together and everything. i can see it now. now i want kool aid. i can't remember the last time i had it. thank you. even if it's terrible, got to get some kind of a for effort from them, right?

i have no idea what the plan is all i know is when we are together, we are like the kids in class who can't stop laughing, so there is that. good luck to whoever is interviewing us, but it will be a fun time. i think we need to track down kool aid. it is a must. i am sure anyone you take on a date would appreciate that effort.
