Troppo breve la vita di Renato Cottini (nato a Torino nel 1921), sensibile, talentuoso scultore e martire della Resistenza.
Sergente di fanteria, allievo ufficiale e dal 1° aprile 1944 partigiano della VI Divisione G.L., egli fu catturato a Rivarolo e fucilato con tre compagni il 26 maggio 1944 al Colle Braida, presso Valgioie di Giaveno, all'età di 23 anni.
