I think people should be allowed to sleep in the same bed in a non sexual and non romantic way. I think cuddles can happen non sexually and non romantically. I think most acts of affection are non sexual and non romantic until you make it sexual or romantic (other than the obvious things like actual sex is sexual)

Would you believe me if I told you I’ve met several 40+ year old men who don’t seem to realize that your ex spouse or ex lover trying to kill or beat you isn’t a universal experience because I have I’ve met several men middle aged or older who were like yeah haha she used to punch me right in the face lol women amirite

Also one time I was in a situation where there was this kid I was in a class with when I was a senior in college and he was like barely an adult fresh out of high school at the time and this older woman in the class kept trying to touch him inappropriately. And he didn’t want us to report it because he knew nobody would believe him and he didn’t want to cause a fuss so a bunch of us ended up always making a formation around him whenever she was in the room to keep her away. And he was lucky enough that several of us in the class saw what she was doing as wrong and were willing to help. There’s a lot of people who would go lol lucky guy and not see it as an issue. We don’t know how many things like that are happening every day because so many people see it as a non issue.

And what funny is this was a writing class and that older woman wrote a lot about womanhood and her experiences with men and being mistreated by men and then she kept trying to grope this poor kid who’s too afraid to report her. I think about that all the time. Her hypocrisy. And I hope that guy is doing okay.

you guys made luigi mangione trend for days and I need to see the same energy for brianna boston. she is a 43 year old mother of three who ended a phone call with blue cross blue shield (after being denied a claim) “delay deny depose, you’re next” and is now being held under a 100,000$ bond and could face FIFTEEN years of prison if charged. she has no weapons, her record is clean, and yet she is being held behind bars. they are afraid of the public and are trying to subdue. do not let them!!!! say her name!!! be outraged that our freedom of speech is being threatened!!!!! deny defend depose! free brianna boston!

Back in my health care call center days we would get threats constantly:

"I know the address of your building I'm going to be there tomorrow and I'm still going to be angry" my supervisor didn't think it was a problem. The guy did show up the next day and handed in a claim to the first employee he found walking into the front doors, but that didn't warrant calling the authorities apparently.

Or the lady who found the CEO's email, sent him 50+ emails and called us every hour to tell us how stupid we were and how she could "do what ever she wanted" where was her arrest?

Or the guy who opened the call with "I have a temper don't make me mad it won't go well for you"

So all of those threats and threats like them were IGNORED, laughed at and dismissed.

One lady saying "delay deny depose, you're next." is a threat? Shit man it's what's happening, we're all next to have our claims denied! Whatever employee determined that must be on a power trip all of a sudden because I know they ignored every real threat from other clients before that statement.

this is what i've been trying to say. yes the memes are funny, but leaps and bounds more important than that is Luigi Mangione first and foremost is in danger.

while he is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law, far too many people have jumped on the idea of him being the shooter because it's funny. however. there are a few key things i personally need to point out.

the NYPD fucking sucks. no bones about it. they are a legitimately bad police force. they are deeply corrupt and losing public value.

they allegedly found him with the gun and a full manifesto on his person just sitting in a mcdonalds. why in sweet fuck would anybody able to pull off that kind of murder and then evade the police for days just be carrying that around with him??

just. think critically for 30 seconds about any and all media surrounding this case that you read, and especially remember that the public opinion, while it isn't necessarily supposed to be, is influential in court cases.
