i feel like its a hot take when i say that i honestly prefer peridot and lapis’ future designs WAY more than their ogs and i dont want to assume anything but i feel like the older ones are usually just preferred cuz they were there longer. nostalgia and all that

like i love the details in them so much okay…..lapis wearing baggy pants w sandals in a very comfortable look but clearly ridding herself of those elements that made her appear so like,,, dainty and vulnerable (not to say like femininity/the dress was inherently bad or Weak but it didn’t Suit her yk,,,,)…. peridot lowkey taking inspo from all the crystal gems in her form… i’ve always loved how the visor kinda sticks out past her hair bc i remember a lot of old fan designs for her new form floating around that gave her star shaped hair but it never felt Right to me, the triangle hair was too iconic. i like that the visor gives those extra points for a five pointed silhouette even if its subtle, it doesnt take away the iconic shape but adds to it instead. And overall theyre just so cute. I love them so much i wish there was more art of them so bad
