This Pride Month I want you to remember these things.

The queer community is inherently tied historically to sexual freedom and diversity.

This does not mean that people that do not want to participate or see things related to sex or kink should be forced to participate or see it because it's related to our history. Don't pressure someone who isn't sure/ready/interested to talk about/participate in sexual acts or discussion. Respect your aces and aros and generally consent in general.

THIS does not mean that you have the right to tell people to stop expressing their freedom of sexuality because you dislike the notion of sex. Respect your fellow queer people, block, look away, move on. Do not tolerate pressure.

Sex is a natural act, it is not perverse and it is not dangerous to speak about or depict. Parents should be aware of what their children are prepared to see or handle and should be involved and supportive enough to be there if there is a danger to their child.

Kink at pride is not a danger to us or our community.

People should be fully aware of what they are going to see when they plan to attend an event so that they are not exposed to things they or their party may personally not want to see.

Do your research.

it wasn't awful when francis spent an afternoon at the aquarium instead of me and got to see all the fishes for herself. it's not awful when julian can't contain a snort of laughter in my head at something we both heard or saw. it's not awful when phoebe procrastinates on assignments to play beatsaber until she's sweaty and bored. it wasn't awful when jon sat outside on the porch late at night, talking quietly to a neighbour's cat. it's never awful when any of the others chime in about everyday tasks and decisions and ideas. it's not awful when I come back and see that my house is suddenly tidy. it's not awful when I come back and it's messier.

we're just people moving through our lives with one body between us. we have just as many small joys, irritations, helpful moments, poor choices, fits of giggles, bad times, and affectionate interactions as anybody else on earth. you can't decide we exist in a state of constant misery from our mode of existence alone. I love my crew.

I hate to e-beg, but things are reaching a hard breaking point. I'm typing this in a fit of tears, if you like what I or @nnugatoryextravagance posts or what we have to say or anything at all, please consider dropping me some cash. Xey are one of the two most important people in my life, and xey're in a horrible living situation and we need money to be able to get xem out of a home of abuse and intimidation. If you want to help an intersex disabled trans person and one of the loves of my life please please consider sending money, my family isn't the most well off but we're safer to live with.

I'm struggling with disability and severe mental crisis and have been unable for a long while to work to make money, and getting disability in the US is a nightmare. But with the help of your kindness I can do something to help prepare to move xem in.

Please, please consider sending us something. Anything helps. anything at all. I know i've made a few posts like this before for various situations but they hardly get any traction and I always give up. I need to have hope though.
