The secnd best, exceptional , adult alternative FM radio statio that I've had the good fortune to call a local. station.

WEQX 102.7 the Real alternative, is located (and broadcasts from) beautiful Manchester, Vermont. I lived in the Albany-Saratoga area in NY and their signal easily reached there.

I started listening jn 1988. It's 2024, I am still a daily listener, via the EQX website's livestream link on my laptop. In 2015 I moved to northeastern North Caeolina, their signal is strong, but not 'that' strong. I'm a atrong believer in loyalty when it's earned.

For nine years, the local stations in the Raleigh vicinity were hugely disappointing to me. Hip-Hop, Classic Rock, Country (we're innundated in that genre) Christian preachers, Christian rockl, etc.

I was really shocked because there are three huge colleges/universities located there.

NC State, and UNC in Raleigh. Duke in Durham. It made no sense to me that an area packed to overflowing with the very demographic that has aternative, indie and adult contemporary in it's DNA responsible for musical taste!

I just gave up, I had my livestram from WEQX.

Now, time warp forward 9 years to October 2024 and I'm browsing my online radiobox app's list of alternative radio stations and ,lo and behold--right in my sightline-on the list, printed in black, and while is 95.7 That Station, Raleigh NC.

Alternative. Indie. Adult CContemporary.

My eardrums are still dancing , they're estatic, if my ears were a dogl-it would be mad happy, and waggibg. Just like this.
