Hi hi! Recently, I've found myself missing the constant stream of community-based art and writing that came with Warriors Amino. After the app's removal, I struggled to find a place where I could find a comprehensive place for fans to gather. With the introduction of the app Kyodo, this is now possible!
If you're someone who loves Warriors, used to be on Warriors Amino, or are just looking for a community to post your fandom-specific art or writing, this is the perfect place for you! We're committed to making this a new home for all Warriors related content, building a community, and making new friends far & wide!
For the opening few months, we'll be running frequent contests and giveaways to build our community. You have the chance to earn official merchandise, books, fanart, fanfiction, and even cash prizes!
Learn more below the cut, and we hope to see you there!
🦢 What is Kyodo?
Kyodo is a social media that allows you to join 'Circles' of your interests or fandoms, create posts as well as 'personas' for your characters, and form chatrooms or roleplays with other users. It's an app that piggy backs off the ashes of Amino. From the Circles being Aminos, the interface being the same, and the posting format being so similar, it is very easy to mistake the two apps as the same. If you're an Amino Veteran (or self-proclaimed "Refugee"), you'll have no problem navigating the app and progressing quickly on the activity leaderboard.
🦢 Our Plan
We're not just trying to make another inactive fandom space where people post and disappear - or get overrun by character sales & adopts. Our goal is to build something alive - where people talk, create, and care about what's being said.
1. Establish a long-standing community-based roleplay — in order to bring the Circle closer (and to have some fun), there are plans in place to begin something the entire Circle can participate in. While small, we can still do fun things like this!
2. Hosting frequent art contests & giveaways for our Circle - more info below!
3. Highlighting active members – we want to give people a presence to make the community alive.
4. Establishing a good starting point to have ample room to grow – once there's a strong foundation, we'll expand further.
5. Highlight real discussions and real people – encouraging posts and conversations about lore, characters, and interpretations.
If you're looking for a space that feels more like old fandom communities – where people actually interacted – that's what we're trying to build here!
🦢 Seeking Moderation Team Members
In order to make this the most cohesive and smooth community available, we are actively seeking Mod Team members to help foster this fandom. Since we're still in the early stages, moderates will have a real influence on how the community grows and what it becomes. If you have any experience in leadership, marketing, or you're just plain interested, shoot us a DM here or on Kyodo!
🦢 Our First Art Contest
As stated prior, we aim to host frequent art contests and giveaways during our first few months active. While the contests will be hosted on many platforms, all submissions must be posted on the Warrior Cats Circle to grow a creative community!
Prizes are to be announced, but we're currently eyeing giving away 6-book box sets of different series under the Warrior Cats IP, various merchandise you can choose from the website, or the cash equivalent to the series you'd pick!
🍀 Conclusion
Thank you all for taking the time to read this post. If you have any questions, comments, or ideas, please DM me or leave it in the replies! We hope to see you there, and may StarClan light your path! ✨
"this fic uses em dashes, so it must be ai-generated" real humans use em dashes.
"this fic has long paragraphs with overly described details and scenes, so it must be ai-generated" real humans can write like this.
"this fic has inconsistencies, so it must be ai-generated" real humans make errors and mistakes. that's why we have this thing called plot holes. sometimes writers are tired and they don't remember what they wrote in the last sentences or paragraphs, let alone chapters.
"this fic sounds robotic and unnatural, so it must be ai-generated" not every writer writes in their native language. sometimes they can sound 'robotic and unnatural' if they wrote in their second or third or fourth language (and kudos to them).
"this fic has a prompt left in it that the author forgot to delete, so it must be ai-generated" the 'prompt' the author accidentally left in their fic could actually be a part of an outline that was meant only for them, so they could keep track of what they would write.
"this author posts too often, no human writes this fast, so they must use ai" 1.) you don't know how fast someone can or can't write, how much time a person has in a day or how motivated/skilled they are. 2.) the frequent updates you see could be something that has already been finished and sitting in the author's drafts for god knows how long. just because it's recently posted doesn't always mean it's recently written.
my point? no, you can never know if a fanfic is 'ai-generated'. unless the author says they use ai, you're just assuming, suspecting and witch hunting. chances are that you're not going to 'stop ai fics from being created', you're just going to wrongly accuse genuine writers of using ai and ruin their day at best, make them want to quit writing or sharing their works at worst.
there is a nuanced neutral level between "frankie is not trans but if you think she's trans that's really cool" and "frankie is not a disgusting tranny". Dana has used neutral language and replied in an even tone to direct questions.
for fuck's sake please stop screaming "KoG/Dana is transphobic".
