Back home in Lima, had to go into work today for like an hour to sort some things out, why do things go wrong when I’m not there? Now I have to hunt through my wardrobe for a dress for tonight. I haven’t been on a date in ages how am I meant to do this.

Hunter was shocked at the words Eddie was telling him. He convinced himself that this day would never come. Putting aside all his stubbornness he bit his lip and nodded his head. They’ve been fighting for eight years, Hunter wasn’t going to not forgive him. This could be the only time Eddie actually apologizes to him. “What made you come around?” He asked, after trying to explain himself to his child for years.

Eddie wasn’t proud of this part either, he should’ve trusted his father from the get go, not need that a stranger come and tell him, ”I hired a detective,” he was playing with the hem of his shirt, feeling like he was ten again and he was just admitting that he was the one who broke the window because he was playing footie inside the house, “Back in London, to trace your steps and see if you ever had anyone on the side.”

Even though Hunter was really upset with Eddie, telling him he was no longer on speaking terms with him was a lie. No matter how angry he was with his kids, he’d always make time for them. The love he had for his children was unconditional. And the way Eddie was talking to him, Hunter knew he was going to tell him something important. “Hey, I’ve always got time for you. What’s up?”

To say he was nervous was an understatement, he never thought he’d have to be doing this. “I-- I’m sorry. For the way I’ve been treating you the past eight years, and specially the past couple of weeks, it wasn’t fair.” He was ashamed of his behaviour, but his pride was pretty wounded as well, he had been wrong, and it hurt to admit.
