aka i say fuck u to momo’s costume design
so im gonna start w the biggest point. she’s 15. a teen. a kid. she is explicitly used for sexual innuendo and fanservice for gross dudes in their 20s who probably run the porn blogs that post politics and hentai. her quirk is not an excuse for her to be tiddies out. it’s even shown that bc of her costume having a closed back, it rips her costume. using her quirk messes up her costume. but sure, hori had it in mind when making a ~totally~ great costume for her quirk.
now, past the moral issues, let’s get on to the technical issues of the suit.
1. not useful for her quirk.
as stated before, momo has torn her costume bc it just isnt suitable for her quirk. we know she likes to create larger things on her back, such as the blanket from the USJ arc. however, with the back of her suit being closed, this is extremely difficult. it will tear her outfit and possibly damage the item, depending on it’s structure. she can remake her costume, yes, but its spending energy that could be saved to create more things in battle. it’s Bad.
the sleeves i have no issue w. she def should be sleeveless, as she constantly pulls weapons, such as the pole (forgot the word) she constantly fights w.
to fix this, a fitted crop top w something at the bottom to keep it from flying up in battle, such as an elastic band would help. no tits out + space in the front for her to make stuff. built in sports bra bc she needs support. the back would be open, allowing her to use her back.
that’s all i got about the quirk aspect so let’s move onto the next point.
ok, so sorry momo, but you have one of the worst costumes to fight in. let’s break this bitch down.
you can’t fight in heels! no! idc if you think it looks nice, that shit will fuck you up. heels can cause bad damage to ur lower back, esp if ur running around in them. the gap between the heel and front of the shoe also leaves you susceptible to somebody kicking low and breaking your foot by knocking you sideways off the shoe. not only the health risks, but wearing heels in fighting will slow you down a lot. im not gonna go into the science of it, but with the structure of the shoe, you have less control to (safely) move quickly. say you have to quickly turn. in heels, it’s much harder to do this turn than it is in flats or sneakers. same with dodging and anything involving balance.

ur gonna get a wedgie. ur gonna get chafed. wear some goddamn shorts.
oh my god carrying around multiple encyclopedia will slow you down this isnt even a debate. try fighting well and fast with like 3 large books attached to ur outfit. no. im stealin this idea from a redesign i saw, but smth like a visor that she projects the info via an online database is a lot more efficent in battle. kinda like tony stark’s robot.
she has a belt. let her use it. something to hold weapons so she can create more stuff. hori please, let her have a belt of swords.
somebody will shoot ur chest. why the fuck is her most vulnerable spot exposed. if u get punched in the boobs, that shit hurted. this also in canon means no bra for momo, which is Bad. she needs support b4 it fucks up her back.
this isnt a main complaint but like get her a hair cut and a helmet or a cloak or smth bc even in the ponytail its a lot of pressure on her head if shes whipping it around + the part in the front will probably gonna whack her in the face. give her some sort of helmet p l e a s e.
this is longer than i expected but yea give momo better clothes. give her a cape. my city now.
