I found this picture of another river rock I painted! Def one of my favorites. So glad Ive come across these pictures, back then it didn’t mean much but now, it means more than words can describe.

While there’s a lot to be said about the cult of productivity, that isn’t why turning your hobby into a hustle is seen as aspirational. The actual benefit of turning your hobby into a hustle is that you can write off all the stupid shit you buy in service to said hobby as a business expense; most of the guides on how to do it just don’t tell you that part because admitting that you’re using your hobby as a tax shelter is regarded as gauche.

Another river rock I painted in the past. One of the first things I’ve ever painted. I wish I would of discovered these talents when I was younger! Being 28 years old and just realizing you have artistic potientoal. . . Bummer. It’s only up from here though right?

I’m a rescue coordinator at a Animal Control Facility and Animal Shelter Full-Time.

Point is: I freaking love my job. It can be stressful, heart breaking and overwhelming but that’s what we have art for right?

It’s okay to be a beginner at the things you are interested in. There is no reason to feel intimidated by people more advanced than you are, because they too were in your place at one point. Keep learning and growing and expanding in whatever it is that you love and let nothing and no one stop you. You don’t have to be at the same stage as someone else. You can just be at your stage and that one is okay too.

Before this, I’d only ever painted on a few river rocks. This painting in particular inspired me to test and challenge myself when it comes to my creativity.

Entire canvas was painted with my fingers and fingernails.

Anyone who REALLY knows ME, knows I can’t work on just one project or task at a time. LOL. I started this a while back and became frustrated with myself.

I started tackling it again, last night with a different perspective and I’m loving it thus far but such a ways to go before being complete. most of the tree besides the very small detail was done with my fingers!

Moral is . . . Things happen, sometimes it burns you out, knocks the breath out of you;
