I saw someone on here post Simon with a torso-mouth and I was like “wow, that’s so extra…. I love it” so I made some too

An extra doodle. I wanted the the top pic to include Simon’s scarred up face as well but then I realized that the pose would be more dynamic with him looking to the right, sigh. A tragic loss. Almost as tragic as Simon losing one (1) nipple to the scars I gave him

I feel like now is a good time to talk about how much AAVE gets appropriated even by selfshippers who recognize that using terms like "yume" is appropriation.

No, you are not "crashing out" when you see a double. You can talk about being upset or having a meltdown, or if you enjoy making a joke about your situation, that you're losing your marbles or going batshit.

And if I see you using "simp" I am at least considering blocking. That is not a word that you should be using for yourself or for others. In its original context*, simp is used as an insult against men who have feelings for women beyond seeing them as sexual objects. It is a word with explicitly misogynist intention. Using it as a joke or term of endearment is not reclaiming, especially if you are not black yourself.

*I know that "simp" was originally used to mean "simpleton", but its modern definition originated in rap spaces in the 80s.
