This Chinese shrimp and broccoli stir fry is a flavorful and healthy dish that can be prepared in just 20 minutes. Tender shrimp, crisp broccoli, and a savory sauce come together to create a satisfying meal that's perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients: 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined. 2 cups broccoli florets. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tbsp soy sauce. 1 tbsp oyster sauce. 1 tsp sesame oil. 1 tbsp vegetable oil. 1/2 tsp cornstarch. 1/4 cup chicken broth. Salt and pepper to taste. Cooked rice, for serving.
Instructions: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add shrimp to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and chicken broth. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp. Return shrimp to the skillet, pour the sauce mixture over the shrimp and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp and broccoli. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over cooked rice.
