kse when someone insults his big sis:
Go my GDCG doodle dump!
Okay here's my sahsol delusional hour.
KSE will still end up giving Saheon an item (maybe not the glasses but something he find later with less side effect) even tho he knows at this point Saheon is not doing it for the item. It's not like there's anything else he can give him besides his thanks.
<delusion starts>
Instead of accepting the easy illusion of keeping things transactional what if Saheon rejects it and then digs out his prothetic eye and the necromomicon and tells KSE "I'll give these back to you… so…" but even then he doesn't quite know what he's asking for. He wants KSE to treat him like someone he doesn't have to buy off.
Meanwhile KSE is like "oh my god put your eye back in?? What am i suppose to do with this??"
"Good job!"
"UH??? Wait, that agent is..."
Hi kirinki, I had a question about the various designations in Daydream. Are team leader and section chief the same thing or different? If different which one is senior?
Is it correct that the designations go like employee, supervisor, assistant manager, manager, team leader/section chief, director? Or are there any other roles too? Are j3 and lee jaheon at the same level of seniority?
Employee Ranks in Daydream
hi hi~ So usually in kr companies the rank goes like this. (The translations for some of them are rather arbitrary. There's seemingly no single consensus for most of the ranks. Below I used ones that people in this fandom seem to have mostly settled on, plus ones I think makes sense.)
The examples give below are re: part 1.
사원 (employee) - kse at first
주임 (supervisor) - kse after promotion, pms
대리 (assistant manager) - ehj, jns etc
과장 (manager/section chief) - ljh
차장 (senior manager) - (nobody so far in gsgw)
부장 (executive manager) - (nobody so far in gsgw)
After that it differs from company to company, but for example, it could go like…
이사 (director) - ho yuwon
상무이사 (managing director) - cheong dallae
At the same time, there's stuff like squad leaders and such, right? those are responsibilities. Here's how that seems to go in daydream :
I. 조원 (squad member) - kse/pms/ehj etc II. 조장 (squad leader) - ljh III. 팀장 (team leader) - ljh in DER. (presumably in charge of entire field exploration team)
Meanwhile in security team the ranks seem totally separate.
A. 팀원 (team member) - pms (*per part 2 ep 212) B. 반장 (captain/sergeant) - J3
Security ranks are a bit confusing bc as far as I can tell, here 'team' seems to both refer to the smallest group of employees (ex. 경비3팀), and the whole department (ex. 보안팀) at the same time.
As for whether J3 and LJH are same level of seniority - as you can see it's impossible to compare the two bc the rank system is different.
To me, it seems that in Daydream, security team in general are treated as lower in the corporate hierarchy than the field exploration team. It's seemingly where you end up if you screw up, basically. Characters such as Kwak treat J3 going from elite squad leader (presumably a manager/section chief) to security team captain as a heavy downgrade. So that probably says something about how those positions compare to one another, practically speaking.
P3 Jin Nasols
GSGW fandom I hope you know that in my mind, this is roughly the premise of the story
I say this with the utmost love and respect, btw
i miss lee gyeol;;;;;
stop. analyse that text through the lens of its author's intentions and original historical context. okay now take the author out back and kill them dead and analyse that text as though it were published by your mutual yesterday and is in direct conversation with the contemporary discourse that's most relevant to your life. okay now pick your favorite angle of interpretation and come up with the strongest possible argument against it. now imagine that the text is your best friend and that it means you well and that you naturally give it every benefit of the doubt because you're on its side and you want the best for it. now imagine that the text wants you dead and it'll eat you if you don't eat it first. now pretend that you found this text locked away in a cave with no evidence of when or where it came from and you have to divine its meaning solely through its internal coherence and nothing else. okay now address the elephant in the room aspect of the text you've been ignoring because you find it boring or confusing or uncomfortable and become the number one expert on it. now spend forty minutes assigning all the characters dnd classes with at least three sentences of reasoning each. okay now do the cha cha slide.
okay so anybody wanna think about how all daydream employees wear masks to obscure their identities and how everyone on braun's show including braun himself literally doesn't have a face and how kim soleum and braun have a rigid view of the world as Fiction with inherent rules to how it should and must operate and both of them need to always maintain a collected image to anyone watching and how both of them got thrown into weird situations outside their control and how they both used and manipulated each other because they're afraid of sincerity.
braun viewing everything as a tv show 🤝 kim soleum viewing everything as a horror story
anyways so if one wants to be pedantic it could be argued that braun being confined to the bunny plushie counts as reverse-isekai
saw someone express confusion on a post i made at probably 3AM calling ho yuwon and kim soleum narrative parallels, so mayhaps it is good that i elaborate.
anyways. SPOILERS FOR ALL OF PART 2!!! ALL OF IT!!! I do mean all of it.
consider this my Ho Yuwon/Kim Soleum manifesto.
