Fortunately, I don't trust anyone online, so instead of using the help they suggested (a Discord link), I searched for Tumblr help and contacted them instead. Always ALWAYS search for the website's real help centre first.

If someone says they reported your account by mistake and then says you need to contact a "support" blog/agent or email, requests personal information, or to go to another platform (like Discord), to email anything that's not @tumblr.com, asks for payment or to purchase a product, urges you to change your login credentials, or anything similar, please do not comply — report the user (cog wheel > Mark as spam) and avoid further interaction.

I’ve learned a lot recently, about love and life itself.

You have a way of making me want to be better. Not better for you, but better because you’ve made me realize that I deserve this. Without meaning to, you’ve made me see that I’m worth something, worth more.

You’ve given me hope, the healthy kind. The kind that was always within me, but you gave me the spark to ignite it. I have plans, a future. I have things I want to do, things I want to be. You’ve made me realize that it’s easier to live life when you have nothing to lose, but so much harder, yet fuller, when I have this love.

You’ve taught me stop and smell the roses, as cliche as it may be. I appreciate the little things; I’m content. You’ve shown me how to slow down and live in the moment and actually enjoy it.

You’ve given me the space and security to look within myself and grow. You’ve shown such understanding and patience that I’m overwhelmed.

You’ve given me silence and a peace I didn’t realize I craved so deeply. You’ve given me joy and laughter and memories to cherish for eternity.

I could write a thousand poems, research every language, scour every thesaurus and dictionary, but there are no words to describe this feeling.

Gratefulness, relief , contentment.

Guilt, fear, grief.

You’ve made me see that love is a spectrum. Love is dates and handing holding, worry and risk. Love is all consuming. Love is pain and healing.

But it’s better to have lost a rock than to have never had a rock at all. <3

Parallels between Verso’s introduction scene, the fire scene, and Verso’s ending.

In his intro scene, Verso holds his hand out to Maelle, who just experienced Gustave’s death, “It’s okay,” he tells her.

In the manor fire scene, he holds his hand out to Alicia, “You’re ok,” he also says to comfort her.

He also says “It’s gonna be ok,” if you choose Verso’s ending, but in that scene he’s holding her as she is expelled from the painting.

It doesn’t matter what’s happening, whether Maelle/Alicia is in pain or if he’s dying, his priority is always to comfort his little sister. Painted Verso or not.
