My entry for Vgen's June challenge (horse)! This was as much fun as much as it was a challenge, with how I usually don't draw in this style, much less draw animals, much less REALISTIC animals. I studied horse anatomy and anatomy breakdowns for a while to cook up with this :) I wanted to put in the extra effort to come up with unique horse designs instead of the usual often just one colored horses, I think it was worth it

This was SO MUCH FUN, especially with how much of a challenge it was cuz I've NEVER seriously drawn horses before this. I put these together from various pose references from horse photos, the left one is a mix of pretty horses I saw and the left one was my idea completely, making it half albino and it's so damn pretty I'm gonna cry

Also!! Shoutout to Snapseed, I really recommend it if you're a traditional artist looking to touchup your pieces before posting and getting rid of shadows on the paper/brightening up only the paper without it touching your art

and with this beautiful note I want to announce the fact that I unfortunately have officially quit Genshin. I have been ridiculously disappointed in the game and how Hoyo treats its players. I still want to make Genshin related art of course but I heard it's counterproductive to the boycott so I don't know, I'm on the fence.

It's such a disappointment to see a game that felt like magic to me, literal love at first sight, start to wither and rot from such huge amounts of pure greed. I know Hoyo is a business, first and foremost, but this is sickening. so yeah😔

Maybe this Bardven week around, I'll actually remember to participate😭

Fully rendered Ineffa redesign

I tried to make her more robotic looking, like she's ACTUALLY made of scraps! .. and like she's made by a child instead of a 40 gooner guy wanting to beat it to a goonbot!

She looked too plain to be a 5* so I added way more details.

-I added more metal details and more metals. Now she has a bunch of copper parts.

-heart thing on her cape to match with Aino!

-darkened the blue on her cape + changed up the front parts

-got rid of the thighs and made her look like she's NOT a human dressed up in a ribot armor.

-got rid of the exposed skin, like, why would Aino need to add an underboob window, exposed back, armpits, etc🤨?

-made her flatter. Sure, kids usually draw and make huge boobs for the fun of it, but I think it fits her design nice!

-got rid of her hat😔. Loved her hat but it cluttered her design far too much, because of all the details I added.

-made her hair light grey. Her color palette was too busy with the extra copper, darker colors + the light blue hair, so I made it grey. I think it contrasts the copper in her hair well, plus makes her look more pale and inhuman

Merry happy holidays! This event was so fun to participate in! I made this gift for @frovael Theo prompt being “ Venti experiencing this era's christimas traditions in Mondstadt with joy and whimsy. Choose whatever christmas activity you can think of! Decorating a tree, mistletoe maybe, ugly christmas sweaters, etc.” I kinda went insane with this prompt but it was so fun to do!

I chose only 1 prompt cuz I had too big of an idea for the limited time while forgetting my skill level and I had to choose the people he'd meet via a randomiser wheel thing - BUT! our dearest bard met Tartaglia in Liyue (pardon the poor background on that one I remembered last minute I haven't made the background for it), and met Nilou and some Aranaras in Sumeru :)

So anyways this concept idea hit me in the face randomly and I'll feed you all with it. I'll rework this piece with more details and an actual background.. sometime.. eventually...

From left to right cuz my group had issues telling some apart (I didn't see the need in putting details where they'll be in the dark but I underestimated art enthusiasts):

Mualani redesign WIP sketch cuz I have free will!!

Changes:

-I replaced her fish motifs, hearing from hawaiians that it's very disrespectful to them, cuz these fishes are a symbol of christianity and christians colonized them long ago and stuff like that. (Open for more enlightment on the topic)

-ofc tan, Natlan is a hot place. That's how melanin works. Plus it makes her tan lines show better!

-morw tattoos/markings/tan lines

-swimsuit change!

-hair change, she looks blonde only for now. That was supposed to be white as a placeholder but looks blond. Anyways, plus curly hair cuz I can't believe her hair would stay straight with all the time around water, and cuz for some reason her front hair just pissed me off. and it's not visible, but I gave her 3 of those braids in the back.

-hibiscus flowers!

-again, not visible cuz not finished, but I'm giving her scars. I prefer to believe that when warriors get resurrected, they still retain their scars. As strong as Mualani is now, I don't belieive she never got hurt before as a warrior. Plus.. more reasons to give badass scars!

-keep in mind, this isn't a finished redesign! There's still stuff I'll be changing. Like the dang shark teeth I forgot from her necklace.

-I wanna make her surf on a Koholasaurus. Not even because I dislike her shark, but just because it would look so funky. And I wanna bring connections between saurians and Natlanese people more obvious since the place is supposed to be on and on about the bond between the people and saurians.
