hell if I know, Young Adult, I post unfiltered, occasionally horny, garbage. I guess this is a cooking blog now? She/Fae/They, Disabled, generally going insane at all times. #my art tag for art
So I had a crazy dream/nightmare last night that inspired me to start a Digital Circus fanfic series!
Here's the Ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/88115756/chapters/233608811
And also just the plaintext cause the first chapter's not too long fair warning that it's sad, on purpose, and is probably only going to get sadder as I keep writing.
Chapter 1: Conjuration and Contemplation
It’s been quiet, ever since Kinger deleted Caine. We’ve all been doing our best to keep our spirits up, but you can only get so far telling stories and practicing conjuring. For as much as we detested the never-ending conveyor belt of adventures set out for us, they were definitely effective at preventing boredom. Now all we have is ourselves.
I prepare for the day, at least in so far as time has any meaning, and head out to the circus stage. Kinger and Gangle beckon me over, looking more excited than usual. “Hey Pomni! Look at this!” says Kinger, as he conjures a cube. What’s more, the cube is a different color on each face. “I’m starting to get a handle on more complicated objects; with some time, we could make more functional constructs.” Gangle applauds Kinger’s achievement as he creates a handful of simple solids which colorfully rotate about; it reminds me of a Windows XP screensaver. It might not be much yet, but it’s nice to see Gangle looking hopeful for once.
“I don’t see what the big deal is.” Jax butts in “It’s not like he’s made something actually useful like a computer or a gun.” His perfect timing in assholery has really been getting on my nerves lately. “I don’t see you making anything!” I playfully retort, “and how is a gun useful right now anyway?” “So we can have a shooting gallery, duh~” Jax fires back, pointing a finger gun directly at Gangle. Jax slinks away, but out of the corner of my eye, I see him fidgeting with well, something… maybe he’s not entirely defeatist today.
While I’m about, I make sure to check in on Ragatha and Zooble as well, as has become a ritual for me in lieu of almost anything else to do. I catch Zooble at the cafe, having a coffee that smells a touch like lavender. “Oh hey Pom…” they sigh between sips, “How are uh, things?” I let them in on Kinger’s conjuring, which sparks their eyes just a touch. “That’s nice, maybe we’ll be able to make a stronger drink than this same old coffee.” At this point, everyone’s tried all the drinks three times over, but Zooble’s been here the most by far.
Ragatha was harder to pin down today; usually she’s impossible to miss, but I haven’t seen her at all. “Hey, are you awake?” I say while knocking on her door. “Yeah… come on in.” She groans back. Laying on her bed and staring at the ceiling, Rags confides in me: “I don’t know why, but lately I’ve felt so empty. The boredom is manageable enough with everyone else but I just…” she trails off. I’ll admit I’ve felt it too: a lack of… humanity, I suppose? I get on the bed and put my arm over Ragatha. For now, all we can do is cry together.
sometimes it occurs to me that while "get bottom surgery and then use a strapon" is an obvious course of action for many trans lesbians, a lot of cis people would be extremely confused by the suggestion that someone would do this.
It's wild that I have my ideal (human) body that I fantasized about in middle school and stuff. Like oh shit I'm the protagonist of the genderbend doujin. It's pretty cool :3
I don’t know if this is an obvious take or a hot take, but I think people need to start re-framing feminism as the fight for body autonomy as opposed to whatever this second wave revival gender essentialist bullshit we have going on right now. Once you reframe it in this way, it’s easier to understand intersectionality and why cis women are not the only people who need feminism. The lack of body autonomy effects cis women, trans people, intersex people, disabled people, poc, homeless people, sex workers, etc. and your feminism needs to include and prioritise all of these groups of people (which will include men btw) because feminism is about autonomy, not about establishing a matriarchy. Body autonomy is the biggest threat to the patriarchy, both with reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and even the right to not be drafted into military services. Once body autonomy is established for everyone, the patriarchy no longer has a leg to stand on.
And body autonomy does include things that you don’t personally like either. I was prompted to write this post after a series of bad takes from progressives, but one of them was re-hashing the Sabrina Carpenter album cover drama with “I don’t think it’s conservative of me to think that the album cover is a bad look when we’ve seen images of women being abused in this way” because I do actually think you’ve failed to understand feminism by projecting your morals onto a woman who was consensually expressing her own autonomy just because she expressed it in a way that you didn’t like or that made you uncomfortable.
Body autonomy also means unhealthy choices. Body autonomy also means regret rates. Body autonomy also means freedom of sexuality. Body autonomy also means mutilation. If you believe body autonomy has limitations and exceptions, then your feminism is most likely surface level.
TERFs are some of the biggest opponents to body autonomy, and if you find yourself thinking “oh people can do whatever they want with their bodies as long as it doesn’t harm them or make others uncomfortable” then you are far more susceptible to TERF propaganda than you think.
hey i'm sorry i called you knotpocket the first time we met. if i had known how many litters you'd carry for me i would have called you puppymill instead
'spicebreaking', as i'd like to call it, is a real and severely underrated kink and i am going to pioneer it. we need to start forcefeeding these poor poor ignorant girls the hottest spiciest foods we can find on the menus of every kind of restaurant we can find until theyre sobbing and weak and their eyes are flush red and they're grabbing onto you for any comfort and begging for you to get them water or milk or anything (and theyre completely unable to fight back) for hours after . and then keep doing that on a regular basis until they can start to take it.
