Thinking about in book 11 of the Odyssey Agamemnon and Achilles (especially Achilles!) were quick to mention their sons and ask of them. And Achilles with his dad too. Or how Agamemnon wonders if Orestes is with Menelaos in Sparta not knowing that he hasn’t made it home yet. I don’t know man I just love when families.

what are your thoughts on Cycnus and Phylius?

Im going to be so real gng i did not know who they were until i searched it up. I think I have briefly heard of the story at some point ??? Possibly when I looking into Metamorphoses for a school project??

Anyway it’s an interesting story for sure !! I tend to enjoy myths where there’s tasks to be done for whatever reason. That and origin myths. Turned into a swan??? Hell yeah. I love me some swans.

Again I don’t really have too many thoughts. Cycnus was a bit conceited making Phylius do allat. Big fan of when Ovid said Phylius refused to bring the bull to Cycnus. Me too bro me too.

Swan lake though??? They turned into swans in swan lake??? I did ballet and Barbie swan lake was one of my favourite Barbie movies. I approve.

My apologies for not having a deep thought provoking answer on this, I’ve just read a few summaries today so I don’t know how accurate anything is. But as I said, I think it’s interesting and has things that I’m particularly fond of !!

Of course!! I haven’t really read anything with Andromache in it to be honest, bar a few small appearances in retellings. This is more or less what I imagine though! The first one was supposed to be Iliad Andromache but then I realised homegirls would NOT be having her hair down and large chunky earrings with the baby around </3. Mid Trojan War Andromache it is 🥀
