grace & sofia.
âI canât remember last time I stopped a second to watch Netflix.â Sofia scoffed. With everything going on in her life, doing anything noremal was impossible. âYouâre talking to the right person. Weâre going out tonight. Enough of sulking in your house with a bottle of wine.â
â yeah, i havenât  exactly had the best couple of months, so iâm ready for a night with you, â she smiled, hoping that whatever sofia had planned would take  both of their minds off of things. â tell me where weâre going and what to wear and iâll be there. â
â so, i just started watching our planet on netflix and iâm  really sad. they show you cute animals living their lives and then you look away for  one second and theyâre all getting  eaten , â grace sighed, pulling her cup of coffee closer to her. â iâve basically been  sulking in my house with a bottle of wine every night. i  seriously needed to get out. â / @vampirebrown
â are you  ignoring me ? â she asked cas, wondering why she hadnât seen him at all. it was  odd to her and she wanted to make sure things were okay. â which is, you know,  totally okay if you have. i know how busy you are and stuff. â / @gracedfallen
grace & theo.
âGive it three months and Iâm sure itâll be the next Instagram trend. Rubbing crayons on your pulse points as perfume,â he proposed, before raising an eyebrow in curiosity, âGuessing youâre a police officer, then?â Otherwise, itâd be pretty strange if she had random drunk people in the back of her car. Unless she also drove Uber, but he figured that even Mystic Falls hadnât caught up to needing that. âWell, kind of. I grew up here, but Iâve been in Charlottesville the past five years for school. I just got back in the fall.â
â i believe you  missed the train on that one. crayola came out with some sort of makeup line not too long ago. i already saw it on instagram, â she laughed softly, â and yeah, i am. i was here about... five years ago ? but i left. now iâm back and i  donât plan on going anywhere. â in all honesty, grace had  missed her life in mystic falls. it was the  one place she had called home since the death of her parents and that meant  more to her than she could form into words. â so, you have family here ? â
grace & shawn.
âBetter back up all that cocky shit right there or else I ainât ever gonna let you live it down.â He teased her, lifting his arm from around her moving it down her back only to squeeze her side again before it fell back to his sides. âThen I guess Iâd be hijackinâ your day. I mean you can come willingly or by force.â He shrugged. âUp to you gorgeous.â He was just messing around of course, if she really had things to do he couldnât stop her but it was amusing to think heâd try.
â oh, i can  totally back it up, â she pointed towards the direction of the shooting range of which they had just exited. â did you  see me in there ? iâd be  scared if i were you. â grace loved  teasing shawn because he teased her right back and it was just something about their friendship they had  always shared. of course, she had always been much closer to shiloh, but when they had spent time together over the years because of hunting, she found it easier and easier to talk to shawn. â i donât think i  want to be seen being  dragged through mystic falls, so iâll come, â grace nodded, giving him a little laugh. â although, it depends on what you mean âby forceâ, â she smirked.
grace & imogen.
âIâm great too. Iâm glad you are,â Immy answered while she gestured to the coffee shop up ahead. âItâs my treat. I donât think we got off to a very good start with each other. I wanted to try again.â
â i wouldnât say it was a  bad start, â she smiled politely, trying to reassure the girl. â just...  different . i was worried about you and wanted to make sure you were alright. itâs my job. â
grace & theo.
âI donât think youâll need to try all too hard. I smell like crayons most of the time, so,â he managed a little chuckle. Despite his boyish good looks, he wasnât very forward with women. He was scared theyâd find it disrespectful if he was even a little forward. âYeah, preschool,â he explained, before nodding, âItâs a blast, honestly. I donât think Iâd ever want to do anything else. Just since last semester. I just got my masterâs last May, so, itâs all still new to me.â
â crayons, huh ? thatâs... a very  distinct smell, but crayons arenât as bad as someone who smells like the floor of a bar in the backseat of your car, â she laughed alongside him. grace thought he was  cute . he was funny, liked children,  and he was handsome. she wouldnât be surprised if she heard that he had  everyone wrapped around his finger. â so, did you just move here to mystic falls ? â
grace & adrian.
âAnd I donât blame you,â he says honestly, knowing he probably would have felt the same way if he hadnât lost. Still, all of the candidates heâd run against were great, and Mystic Falls would have been in good hands regardless of the winner. âThank you, Grace, that means a lot.â
â did you tell piper ? â she smiled, trying to  lift the spirits of the conversation. it was  bittersweet , but life had to go on and grace knew she had a job to do. protecting people was  all she knew and she wasnât going to stop anytime soon.Â

âNah, never would underestimate ya like that.â He chuckled, as he stepped out into the open area of the facility. He had definitely learned from a young age to never underestimate women, any time he did Natasha would have him in a chokehold in seconds. âOh ya?â He turned his head over to her and when she nudged him his arm was quick to wrap around her, pulling her in tight against his side. âThat a challenge then?â He teased. âThereâs a place âround the corner to eat. Stealinâ you for a couple more hours so better not have shit else to do for the rest of the day either.âÂ
grace wrapped her arm back around shawnâs abdomen to  steady herself as his frame towered over her own. although they were  only joking, grace was glad shawn  wasnât going to underestimate her. or rather, he  hadnât . not all, but  most men she met usually did - and it typically happened in the workplace. from how long she had known shawn, she  never got the indication that he felt that way towards her. â yes, but i wouldnât necessarily call it a  challenge if i already know  iâm going to win, â she said confidently, a smirk inching its way onto her face. â and what if i  am busy ? what are you going to do about it ? â she teased back.

âGrace!â Imogen spotted her and ran to catch up that morning. She didnât think their last encounter had gone over too smoothly. She assumed the woman had her own assumptions about her. âHow are you? Do you want to grab a coffee?â
the officer turned her head at her name being called, eyes meeting the younger female as a  smile turned to her lips. â hey, â she waved. â iâm great, how are you ? and sure, i have  some time to grab a cup of coffee. â
grace & shawn.
âThis was just to see how good of a shot youâd become.â He pretended to look unimpressed, when she had clearly shown her skills. âNext time weâll go paint ballinâ and Iâll take you out.â He grinned tilting his head in the direction of the exit. It felt good for him as well. Shawn was always looking for a way to get out of his own head and the booze at this point, didnât do anything for that. His body reacted better as he drank throughout the day because it needed it, but that also meant it just meant his tolerance was high. Things like this, fighting, fixing up the house, sleeping around, those actually helped him get out what he was feeling.  âReady to go?âÂ
â you  doubted me, hm ? â she smirked, stepping away from her lane to follow him towards the exit. grace was no longer hunting, but that  didnât mean she was about to let her skills and what she knew to  diminish in quality. plus, being a police officer, she  constantly had to be on her toes. in all honesty, grace  hoped she had impressed shawn. â you think youâre  so big and tough ? iâll  show you that you canât beat me, â she teased, nudging her elbow into his side. the idea of hanging out with him more made her  happy . she didnât have  many people in her life, so the people who made an effort were important to her. â yes. where are we headed now ? â
grace & shawn.
After a few sheets had been ripped through by bullets, Shawn finally pulled the earmuffs down to hang around his neck, letting the last sheet he had torn into come forward so he could grab it. Afterwards he stepped around to look at Grace, watching as she finished off as well before giving her a little squeeze on her side with a smile to grab her attention. She had seemed a little off the last time he had scene her, granted he hadnât been exactly himself that day either but he wanted to check in so he thought they could set off a couple rounds at the shooting range, grab some drinks after. âDone doinâ damage to the poor bastard?â He joked, gesturing over at the target. @electricloved
grace had been in a  weird mindset over the last few days. she had gone from feeling all of her emotions to feeling absolutely  nothing at all. and that had hit her  hard - especially because she could now remember the way she had felt. target practice was always a way to get her mind off of things, allowing her to  escape and focus solely on  one thing. the hand against her side made her turn around to look up at him, a smile  warming her features unlike the last time she had seen shawn. â he didnât even see it coming, â she teased. grace set down the gun, pressing a button to reel the sheet of paper back to her before pulling it down. â thank you for inviting me. it felt good to come here and  kick some ass. â
grace & adrian.
âThanks, Grace.â Adrian wrapped his arms around the blonde, feeling a little awkward if he was being honest: he knew she had to be upset, even if she was congratulating him. âYou gave it a really good run, yeah? Donât feel too down. Youâre still a great cop.â
â yeah, i... iâm  not going to lie, i was upset when i heard the news, â she pulled back from the hug, looking up at him. but now that she did, she was  proud to say she would be working underneath him. â i only want whatâs best for this town and i believe  youâre it. you deserve this, adrian. â
grace & theo.
âWell, give me two weeks for the pollen to stabilize and Iâll do it,â he told him, equally shy at flirting. Usually his face carried him throughout the interactions. As long as he shut up, girls didnât notice the bad verbal flirting. He looked back now at the stack of papers before his gaze went back to her, âOh yeah. Just grading. Iâm a preschool teacher,â he explained, with a little shrug. Staying humble despite the fact it was his dream job.
â two weeks ? alright, you got it. iâll make sure i smell the  best for you, â she giggled, feeling her face warm  exponentially the more she blushed. grace was typically a complete  mess when it came to flirting - being âsmoothâ wasnât in her vocabulary. â a teacher ? â the blonde grinned, â that must be  so much fun. especially to teach kids that young and see them think and learn. how long have you been teaching ? â
grace & theo.
He canât help be amused at her comment, and then bashful as he managed to thank the other, âWell thanks. I try and do my part. Shower, put on deodorant. The basic minimum for human hygiene,â he joked. Overly polite as always, he then realized that he should probably also compliment her. âI bet you smell good, too. I mean, I kind of have allergies so I canât tell, but you look like you do.â He paused for another short moment, realizing how that sounded. âYouâre pretty, I mean.
grace hadnât been called âprettyâ in what felt like  ages and the thought of him thinking she was  that made her embarrassingly giddy; however, she hid it. â well, when your nose clears up, feel free to smell me  any time, â she blushed again, feeling like an  idiot for the word vomit that flowed out of her mouth without having any  second thoughts about it first. â so, um... whatâs with the papers ? â she deflected, not wanting him to think  too much about her atrocious flirting.
