mcr fans posting gerard pics is such solidarity. i spent the early aughts as an obsessed teenager. it was a whole wrestle getting my latino parents to buy me the black parade because they were convinced it was devil shit poisoning my mind. for me it was self expression and, looking back, probably me trying to understand gender. i finally saw them live in 2022 with my ex-fiancé, got a pic of the setlist off the guy who caught it. in my late thirties, i see gerard’s silver streak and go aw they’re out there entertaining the kids, a whole señor/a/x. and i still have the hugest crush on them

Being a crafty person and making a bunch of things often prompts people to ask "oh wow did you make that?" And like, the short answer is: yes I did, but the long answer is: well, no, the pattern isn't mine, but I did choose and buy the fabric/yarn and sewed it together/crocheted it/knitted it myself. I used a reference for that drawing/painting, I didn't come up with it myself. That ceramic piece was insired by a poem and a painting made by different people. What I'm trying to say is, everything I make requires other people to make their own thing first, and then I get inspired by them to do my own thing. So I can't really call anything truly mine, because really it's just a bunch of inspirations and experiences of others (and me) put together by my hands. Does that answer your question

This is genuinely one of the most vile posts I've ever seen on here.

The idea that transmascs (or any marginalized person, really) are excited about the idea of getting to be "higher" on the social ladder than someone else. This is just plain bigotry with literally no basis in reality.

This post already has hundreds of uncrtical reblogs. Knowing that, at minimum, hundreds of people think this of transmascs makes me sick to my stomach. When history looks back on your hatred I will not be forgiving any of you.

adding: notice that the entire comic takes place inside a trans man’s imagined head. the smug thought bubble isn’t a quote, isn’t a screenshot, isn’t a paraphrase of anything anyone said. someone sat down and wrote the worst possible interiority for a transmasc and then drew a face to match it. i’ve been on this site a long time. i have not seen one trans man talk about trans women like this. not one. if this attitude is common enough to make comics about, receipts should be easy. there are none in this post because the evidence is the artist’s imagination. there’s a word for attributing your own hierarchy-brain to a group that hasn’t shown it, and it’s projection.

You wouldn't hate those same trans men if they detransitioned/had never transitioned and that is transphobic.
