White transmasc/TME people, please listen. I recently heard a podcast called "Gender Spiral with Ally Beardsley and Babette Thomas". Specifically, I listened to the episode called "Transitions and Tattoos (w/ Eoin McGraw)". Eoin, who is a white gay trans man, says the following at the 18:24 minute mark, which I edited to remove filler words.

"I think with white womanhood, and that's something that I've done a lot of thinking about, too, as a white trans man, you are given this concept of purity, innocence, virgin, or whatever. Like, everyone should be able to defend you. And so if you don't unpack that, distance yourself from that, do the work that you need to be doing, I can't imagine anything more frightening than a white woman mentality in a white man's body because of the manipulation, the victim mindset of, Oh my God, you know, the just truly that manipulation. And so when I came out as trans and started to understand myself as a trans man, I was honestly horrified at how much I still clung to the opportunity to be a victim. That was really, really gross for me to realize because at that point, I thought I had done like a certain amount of self reflecting and self-awareness and our unlearning and learning and all the things."

This quote has stuck in my brain and challenged me to examine my personal victim complex that I still hold onto. To white trans people, I challenge you to examine how you have internalized this victim mindset and how it impacts your worldview. Consider how it can make you overly defensive towards and dismissive of transfeminized and racialized trans people. Think about how you react when they talk about issues that primarily affect them and position you as part of the oppressive class.

1. Queer culture is manipulated by mainstream media

2. Mainstream media is manipulated by the Epstein class

3. Many of Epstein's associates are historically into forcefem surgery, and trans women by extension

4. Nearly all of Epstein's associates are into children

Your transition shouldn't have anything to do with a lost feminine childhood, ageplay isn't gender affirming care, lolicon isn't trans culture, your transition goal shouldn't be a girl younger than you actually are. I know how much it sucks that we didn't get to grow up as girls, but the idea that your transition winds back the clock is Epsteinic. I'm sorry 21 year old trans woman, you're a woman, not a girl.

LGB people don’t need others to “affirm” our sexuality. We don’t need anyone to participate in our own understanding of ourselves. We don’t need surgeries, drugs, and other medical interventions to become our true selves. Quite the opposite: governments have used medical interventions to punish us for being our true selves. We don’t require that language be changed for us, other than simply expanding the definition of marriage—a legal definition—to include same sex relationships. We don’t try to convince ourselves and others that we’re anything other than how we were born. We don’t demand that taxpayers pay for anything related to our sexuality. This is all just off the top of my head…but there are so many differences between us and our goals, and the trans community and their goals.

I believe the biggest reason that trans/nonbinary/pan/ace/whatever stuff is so big right now is because of fandom/shipping culture and yaoi/yuri. This is why I can't find myself caring about or even feeling frustrated with fandom people making pride art and the like, esp if they're straight. It just feels disingenuous, like it's feeding into the phenomenon that lead to this tumbrina 'queer' bs

Fandoms treat being gay or bi as basically a trendy personality trait instead of just a boring sexual orientation that doesn't really tell you anything about someone. This is because being gay is synonymous with being some kind of edgy rebellious forbidden anti establishment 'alt' thing (y'know, instead of something that should be normalised), which was also part of the appeal of yuri/yaoi. It's all just coolness and aesthetics, plus a good dose of sexual objectification. I just don't care for it anymore. Does that make me less tolerant or too close minded?

I promise this isn't me forcing Christianity on you, I'm just talking about an experience I had that combined my Blackness and religion. I get asked about it a lot.

I am an ardent lover of the movie X about Malcolm X (dir. Spike Lee) because not only is it a phenomenal movie with Denzel Washington doing one of his best performances ever, and actually broke that "Malcolm was the bad guy!" propaganda we get, but it actually was very spiritual for me on my journey of self love for my Blackness.

When Malcolm learned of Jesus' hair being textured like sheep's wool, I actually touched my own afro for the first time and felt connected directly to God in a way I had never felt before looking at

Like I didn't just feel love for my afro- which, I'd already begun feeling years before when I felt my own texture for the first time at 17- but I felt reverence. I felt worship for it. It was nice, that I actually felt a part of God's image in a way that was literal, that White Jesus had simply never done for me. I felt divinely created. As much as white western Christianity enforced that Whiteness (their image) is divinity, it sure is odd that their divinity has hair textured like mine!

A frustrating thing about being aware of transmisogyny is how hard it is to convince other transfems (particularly those who are newly out) of its existence as a real form of oppression.

You'll meet a girl who got kicked out of a queer group because of a sex joke she made that landed badly, and she'll just be taking 100% of the blame and saying she deserved it, saying that she should have known her place and been meek and sexless to prove that she's not a predator.

You'll meet a girl who's afraid to go to the laser clinic, because the one time she went she overheard the laser techs arguing about who would be "burdened" with her, and from that she internalised that she *is* a burden that no one should have to deal with.

You'll meet a girl who's gone to the theoretically-inclusive sapphic meetup like ten times, even though no-one ever talks to her, and when she tries to talk to them they give a one-word response and turn away. And she just keeps going back because she thinks the problem is that she's the "new girl". Even though there have been three newer girls than her who are already in the in-group.

Some of these women are so used to marginalisation and mistreatment, that when it happens again and again they consider it the natural course of events. It's their own fault, some unique character flaw that they alone have. And they're so isolated and desperate for community that they will put up with any amount of abuse from other queers.

Sometimes it's only after seeing it happen several times to *other* transfems, and never any other kind of queer person even if they do exactly the same things, that they realise that a pattern exists, and there is a name for that pattern, and all there's a whole world of transfeminist writing for them to dive into with newly-opened eyes.

Forcefem was a huge part of what helped me realize I'm trans and convince me to transition. I would always come across forcefem stuff and think "god, I wish that were me." Then someone told me "cis men don't wish that they were women" and it all clicked.

And I think all these chuds that claim forcefem is "tRaNsAnDrOpHobiC" know that. Especially since the stuff made by trans women makes it extremely explicit that the message is "it's ok to want to be a girl, you don't have to spend the rest of your life in misery pretending to be a man." It's extremely obviously not directed at trans men.

But transmisogynists view any trans woman that actually escapes the eggshell/closet as a tragedy, so they want to stop anything that helps us do so. They'd rather see a million dead closeted trans women than a single one of us happy and thriving as ourselves.

I’ve started to wonder whether transmisogyny is ambient enough that almost everyone carries some of it and whether part of what I’m reacting to is a sense that trans women sometimes hold themselves as the only ones exempt, which would make everyone else, by definition, transmisogynistic. On another trans woman’s blog, a few trans women described worrying that pursuing bottom surgery would mean abandoning their community, and it names the dynamic exactly. Cult, or found family? Maybe both.

I've been trying to think of a final message to pin to this blog. I'm pretty tuckered out from discourse posting in general, I think I have it out of my system and I've realized any further engagement with this topic is just making myself angry for no good reason. I don't want to be stuck in an anti-SJW era type loop of looking at screenshots of people saying stupid things about trans people to get mad at, or people leaving purposefully stupid ragebaiting comments to piss me off, or whatever else.

I still think the trans community isn't all bad. To be honest I can't make myself care much about transsexuality by itself. But in its current state, the trans movement is fundamentally incompatible with honest gender progress. In the name of being as nice and inclusive as possible it has created a movement built up on lies and nonsensical rhetoric. It leeches on progressiveness and female people have suffered for it.

The issue with criticizing this movement is that this topic is highly prone to attracting bullies who care more about making fun of weird gross people than they care about really criticizing the misogyny of the movement. That's why right wingers love the trans issue. But the mainstream transgender movement cannot allow any criticism of its premises (particularly something that isn't 100% validating of MTFs) without making you out to be an unforgivable monster.

Therefore, if you have criticisms, your only available spaces to freely discuss your opinions are either straight up right-wing spaces, or weird fringe groups that will never be mainstream or are probably also full of awful people. Then the trans community milks the fuck out of the "not liking us is a shared trait you have with bigots, therefore you are a bigot" logical fallacy. So for a while genuine left-wing criticism of the trans movement could never flourish, resulting in rot ideology like transfeminism becoming pushed. But I think this is changing.

Thank you all for supporting and appreciating me, I will still view this community but I am actively trying to disengage myself now. My problems weren't totally solved by posting for a bit, but I personally feel better and as though I have made some kind of impact. I also feel confident the tides are turning, even if it's bit by bit.

Very insightful video from Radical Ramblings, pointing out that trans identified people get to have all these “big milestone announcements” where they can get showered in praise or attention.

“A trend I noticed with trans people is they keep getting to ‘come out’ so to speak and get a wave of praise every time they do. I’m trans! I’m getting hormones! I changed my name! I got my gender marker changed! I’m getting surgery! Whatever. Over and over and over.”

And if they don’t have any milestones to report when they want attention, they can just post about how much of a victim they are. They can post about being misgendered or wax poetic about how terrible the world is for trans identified people. On the flip side, they can post about “gender euphoria”. No matter what, their trans identity ensures they always have something to post or share with others to get showered in attention and validation. Nothing else really offers this endless supply of praise on demand.

And this is something I’ve noticed too. Trans identified people want to tell you that they’re thinking of getting XYZ done. Then they want to tell you that they scheduled the appointment. Then they want to tell you the appointment’s coming up and they’re nervous and excited. Then that they’re on the way to their appointment. Then that they got their referral or prescription. Then they announce their surgery date or first day on wrong sex hormones. Then they start yapping about their upcoming cosmetic surgery. They post when it’s coming up, when it’s the month/week/day before, when they’re going in, when they’ve gotten out. Then they gush about the results. And it never ends! In my experience it’s absolutely exhausting to be around because it starts to feel like, what, you need me to give you attention for your trans identity again? Haven’t we already done this like ten times? Why do you need validation from me, can’t you find it within yourself?

I think a lot of people have observed that trans identified people are often very self-absorbed/self-obsessed, and seem to need attention all the time. Trans identity is a perfect outlet and source for this, so of course these kinds of people latch onto it. And the validation, attention, and praise that comes from all these milestone announcements becomes a drug and a high to chase.

We’re already seeing signs of this, but I believe the trans movement’s downfall will be that it simply became too confusing and too demanding for anyone except hardcore believers to keep up with, and that this happened far too fast. People are exhausted with the endless demands from the trans community, and with how forceful they are about it. People are confused about the whole thing because it’s built on contradictions, individualism, and sexism. It’s just not something that is sustainable long-term unless you’re fully dedicated to the cause and are able to keep up with how rapidly it changes terminology and moves goalposts.

y’all know what’s crazy my mom who’s a devoted catholic has more feminist principles than a lot of left/liberal women do. ever since i was little she’s always told me to not date boys and to just focus on school. she constantly tells me not to depend on a man because she knows first hand the abuse a woman experiences when she’s financially dependent on a man. she also constantly tells me to not get married which is insane considering she’s very religious. meanwhile left/liberal women get upset when you bring up abolishing beauty rituals.
