Ways to be more sustainable for crocheters
Use what you already have in your collection before buying more
Consider looking at thrift stores or vintage stores for yarn
Buy bobby pins instead of stitch markers for a multiuse tool
refrain from buying plastic stitch markers or tools, focus on metal ones instead
Use scraps of yarn for stuffing or for storage patterns
buy more natural fibers and less synthetic fibers
make projects for reusable items, like produce bags or washcloths
buy from local businesses if you can
Let go of the idea that diy will inherently look shit. All your clothes are handmade you just don't see the people doing it.
Write poetry that's cringy. Make crochet projects that are misshapen. Make knitwear with so many holes that it counts as Swiss cheese. Sing terribly in the shower. Draw with bad anatomy. Suck ass at games. Paint your nails and make them smudged. Make cookies that are too flat. Take forever to do a puzzle. Write ooc fanfiction. Fall on your face a dozen times while trying to skate.
Do all of these things, you'll be happier than if you never tried at all
As someone who lives in the state where ICE killed Renee Good, this is unfortunately needed information
every time i go on etsy and have to slog through the countless ai crochet patterns, i feel the deep urge to burn down an ai data center
why am i following you, do you think?
I am so cool and also a wasp, so you have no choice but to follow me :)

When you learn how to crochet/ knit or really any type of fiber arts, there will be a voice in your head that tells you that you should make something for everyone for the holidays.
Do not listen to that voice, for it is the devil.
I remember, before the website closed down, rest in peace, that Joannes had their own crochet and knitting patterns. did those get documented and archived? Or did they get deleted with the website?
When I was in my Undertale obsession phase of my middle school life, I found a recipe for butterscotch cinnamon pie. Coincidentally, it was pi day around that time, and i remember asking my teacher if i made a pie, would I get extra credit? They said yes surprisingly, and so my mother and i made a pie together, and i showed a picture for extra credit. Then when thanksgiving came around, i made the pie then, and it was a roaring sucess.
How crazy is it that a indie game led to a tradition that i uphold every year?
nostalgia is going to be the death of pokemon games i swear.
After all why try to make a good game, when you can make the bare minimum and fanboys will eat it up, in a desperate attempt to relive their childhood?
It doesnt matter if theres game breaking bugs on launch, or if the graphics are the essence of an enviroment. Pokemon fans will still buy it.
Yeah, needless to say, im not buying a pokemon game until further notice.
call me a german poppy seed cake the way i be Mohnkuchen on her box.
