ALSO at Southbank Centre (they're on a roll with events currently) is the 'Light Show' in the Hayward Gallery. Featuring work by artists such as Dan Flavin, Olafur Eliasson, Jenny Holzer and David Batchelor (also a writer). There is a LOT of talk around this show in the art bubble at the moment and I learnt how popular it was the hard way; it was sold out when I arrived at the door! So booking in advance is essential...I am yet to go but expect a post on this event soon!
VOGUE FESTIVAL 2013 at SOUTHBANK CENTRE...
Really can't wait for the VOGUE magazine festival in London this year! It takes place in April at the Southbank Centre. I have the tickets I wanted even though most sold out soon after the 10am opening ticket sales! The first event to sell out was the 'Behind the Scenes of a Vogue Cover Shoot' with ultra-popular model Cara Delevingne unsurprisingly. I'm booked to go see the 'British Brands' talk with the CEO of Alexander Mcqueen and Christopher Kane; and also treated myself to go and see the Donatella Versace interview too! It going to be fabulous and I can't wait to tell you all about it in the near future!
Remaining tickets may be bought on-line here:

Popped into Zara recently to find a truly exquisite new collection of clothes for this spring/summer 2013. Laser cut leather skirts, oriental print silk combos, heavily embroidered jackets and dresses...yes the prices have gone up a notch but they have a selection of gorgeously designed pieces so pick a few and enjoy getting frequent compliments!
Above is the silk pyjama/kimono shirt which I fell in love with and it is now my favourite shirt. Effortlessly elegant and so comfortable!
TREND ALERT- Baroque is over... oriental prints, black&whites and well--cut clothing is in!
Burberry Prorsum Autumn Winter 2013/14 London Fashion Week featuring Tom Odell
Catherine Devenue portrait by Man Ray in his studio.
MAN RAY at NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY...
The Man Ray Portrait photography exhibition which is currently on at The National Portrait Gallery, London, is well worth the visit. I went last Friday and even though it is only small (consisting of two rooms) it really did captivate me.I advise you to read all the texts that go with the photographs to get a proper insight into the fabulous creative journey that Emmanuel Radnitzky (Man Ray) had. I don't usually like to read the text next to work in museums or galleries but on this occasion I don't think it would do any harm.
Stand-out photographs for me were the Picasso portraits as he has glaringly black eyes, the female surrealist shadow-play portraits and last but not least...the portrait of Catherine Deneuve, French actress, particularly great in one of my favourite films of all time 'Les Parapluies de Cherbourg' ('The Umbrellas of Cherbourg').
Exhibition on till 27th May 2013...Ticketed entry.
Kate Moss by Juergen Teller
Juergen Teller 'Woo' at the ICA, London
Absolutely fabulous show, open till 17th March so get there soon! The wallpapered box room is really great. Time slips away easily looking at all the different images- very fun, very beautiful. Highly recommended.
Eva Hesse, Oomamaboomba, 1965
Earlier this February I went to Hauser&Wirth Gallery on Savile Row in London. They have some lovely exhibitions going on currently.
Personally, I saw the Eva Hesse and then the Bruce Nauman show in a separate wing. Above is the Hesse piece which stood out to me the most from the selection there.
However, the Bruce Nauman work, on this occassion, caught my eye even more. 'Good Boy, Bad Boy' 1987- a neon light wall installation was interesting but most of all Nauman's 'Untitled/ Helman Gallery Parallelogram' 1971- a green room with awkwardly small entry and exit was attention grabbing and very fun to interact with.
Both were free and easy to find. I highly recommend visiting this gallery.
Look at that bag before you look both ways!!
My two loves in one- fashion & art... Yesterday, I street spotted this Louis Vuitton classic Speedy Bag in the Yayoi Kusama white spots from the collaboration range she recently created with Louis.V.
