‼️REGARDING THE BEKKA PREWITT SITUATION‼️

I seriously don't understand how it all came to this. It is heartbreaking to see Bekka crying because some of you decided it would be a good idea to bully her just because she didn't feel comfortable saying something. All of you calling her "homophobic" just proves how insecure you are of yourself and you've done nothing but bring shame to this community. All I'm saying is BE RESPECTFUL. She doesn't have to say anything she doesn't want to say and much less feel obligated to do it. It is a blessing that she is this close with us and you all have ruined it by poorly accusing her of something she's proven multiple times not to be. If you are one of the people responsible for this, in the name of the community and of respect itself, apologize NOW.

As someone who has PTSD and severe depressive episodes where I self-isolate, hearing that there are people saying Donna is mentally a child just because she is mentally ill and finds comfort in dolls (and her father, whose death she grieves, was a doll-maker) is incredibly offensive. The infantilzation of those of us with mental illness is a real problem. It feels incredibly invalidating.

Yeah I understand that, this kinda proves my point, no matter how I draw her someone will find it offensive for one reason or another, I'll just stop, I don't want to hurt people cause the purpose of my art is the exact opposite.

I've also seen (especially in the last couple of years) how this kind of discourse can turn pretty quickly in something really nasty, and I want nothing to do with that.
