I created this study blog to share my journey and motivate myself in my studies (well, mainly to learn form the studyblr community ^^)

I am currently doing my M.Sc. in Biotech and would like to pursue a PhD in the future, so good grades is my goal!

I was never a perfect student, but we will learn how to do this together and I'll share my progress here.

April Days of Productivity - 3/30

Today’s goal was to chip away at a uni assignment about comparing two different schools of therapy. I chose to broadly investigate psychoanalytic therapy and CBT, since one is prominent in France and the other in Ireland. (My two countries!) I’m actually surprised at how much contemporary psychoanalytic therapy appeals to me. Today I only had time to read & annotate my pdf prints, but now I have enough info to write up the 1500 word essay this weekend 🫡

So my mom and I bullied my dad into giving us flowers the other day, right? So today dad got us flowers again, except this time they aren't cut flowers but two potted bromeliads and I'm- Look, I like flowers, but I, unlike my mom, suck at keeping houseplants alive, which is why I prefer cut flowers. But now I got this bromeliad and it's the closest I can get to maternal instincts like. I already love it. I sprayed it with water bc apparently they like it. Guys, I am not killing this one no matter what!!!

When it came to writing my Bachelor's thesis, my professor told me what sort of categories and important information he wanted me to include in the introduction. Obviously. I was an absolute baby then!

Now that I've started practical work on my Master's, I wanted to start writing too; and I realized that during those two years spent working with my professor I had made enough progress and acquired enough knowledge to have some ideas on what to include in the intro myself. My thesis supervisor confirmed that I should write about "whatever I think fits" which was really overwhelming at first. But yesterday I came up with a very rough outline of the introduction and today I'm reading some relevant articles and taking notes, and I'm not feeling overwhelmed anymore :) It's always so cool to see yourself grow!

Life lately: working @ office, philosophy seminars and readings, writing literature review for my dissertation, doing French h/w. I’ve also sent abstract of presentation for one conference in April and I need to send theses for another conference (due at the end of February). So a lot of work. But I feel better now as I try to do some diss work after my office work.
