i feel like people need to start writing bruce wayne as autistic intentionally. no “implied” no “coded”. batman is AUTISTIC. say it with your chest and write him experiencing the dehumanising way autistic people are treated and write Brucie Wayne as his form of masking and write him learning coping strategies and teaching those important to him about autism. write Bruce Wayne learning to open up about being autistic and using his status to improve ways autistic people are treated in schools, work and medical establishments as well as the pay for support and social workers so as they can do their jobs affectively

very few people know this but unfortunately ghostmaker has back door entry to the justice league systems and confidential files because khoa got mad at bruce for “leaving him out.” doesn’t matter that he’d never join the league, he gets pissy with bruce if he can’t read reports from every mission bruce is in, or access all footage of or from bruce. bruce just doesn’t want to sleep on the floor again

Some people argue that the blue Batsuit is more interesting and makes narrative sense if interpreted as an alternative design that Bruce made for not to scare the children. While I like the blue suit, one of the reasons I find the black one more interesting is precisely the opposite of the idea that the black batsuit scares children.

Batman, that intimidating, muscle-bound man dressed as a creature of darkness in the gloomy night of the world's most dangerous city, doesn't scare the children. Not at all.

But why would he? He's always such a kind gentleman to them.

I will confess, while I don't ever want Robin to be retconned out or like. treated like the role doesn't exist, I think that responses to 'i prefer batman stories without robin' as "omg you must really like the 1 year of stories in the 1930s" are kind of stupid.

like. i'm sorry but unless you've only done a dick grayson reading list as your exposure to batman comics there are tons of batman comics without robin, and it's OK for people to prefer these. legends of the dark knight, a lot of stories in the 70s and 80s when Dick was in college. lots of these stories are good even!

There are also many good comics that take place during a time period when Batman has a Robin, but he's simply not in the story. This is totally normal for Batman comics, sometimes you read 13 issues of a run before the currently Robin appears and he's only there for 2 before disappears again for another 8 issues.

Writers will like to make Bruce Wayne-centric stories regardless of how many Robins he has had or how many allies he currently has. And thats cool, I support

Tim Drake being adopted only years after the third Robin appeared, Cass's adoption not being public, and Steph and Babs not being his daughters + being so different from Cass and each other in appearance and age probably saved Bruce from a wave of "Bruce Wayne is Batman and his kids are robins and batgirls" theories

I always find it funny when in identity reveal fics the characters are like "That makes so much sense! Every time Batman gains an ally, Bruce Wayne adopts a child" but...not exactly. Tim was Robin for like, five years before being adopted by Bruce. Cassandra wasn't a public person, and if we are going by the logic that every Robin and Batgirl is one of Bruce Wayne's children, where is he hiding his secret redhead and blonde daughters?

And what about that Huntress girl? What is she from Bruce? The babysitter?

And that Azrael guy? Didn't he already use the bat-symbol for a short time?

I think many people forget that the Batfamily is much larger than the Wayne family, and that people who don't know them wouldn't be able to distinguish between the Bats who are part of Batman's family and those who are allies and friends.

I like the hc of Bruce's relationship with Khoa reversing the roles that Bruce's relationships usually have, but also balancing them out at the same time

Like, neither of them is a physically affectionate person, but if there's even a hug between them, it's Bruce who initiated it, and is Khoa who will be stiff and take a long time to reciprocate, or not reciprocate at all. Completely the opposite of the role Bruce usually plays when he is hugged by his children or friends.

But Bruce being used to being the other side of this interaction leads him to perfectly understand why it's difficult for Khoa to reciprocate, he won't be sad or annoyed about it.

They go to the theater, And you know how couples sometimes buy two seats together away from everyone else on a quiet day so they can have sex in the movie theater? One of them buys the seat next to one of these hypothetical people, and the other buys the seat next to the other person in the couple

They infiltrate a wedding they weren't invited to and start mingling and socializing, seeing how long it takes for people to realize they shouldn't be there

They go to a bar pretending they don't know each other and start staging a fight; eventually, the fight becomes real, and they go to bed angry with each other

They go to metropolis on horseback and treat the city like their own obstacle course, obviously it's a competition
