Saw some pictures of hooded crows playing in the snow and wanted to redraw them as silly little dromaeosaurs.
The pictures are under the cut!
Anyone wanna Dino?
Slash is out and about and looking to interact with others, anyone wanna chill with her?
Some times Slash just wanna hiss and bark at people!
Online!
Wazzpinator izz back!
I got Waspinator going again; if anyone wants to bug him, too.
Restless.
Today, much like all of last week, has been very uneventful. Some of the Autobots were taking advantage of the peace to relax or get things done, while others were bored or tense, as if expecting news of deception activity at any moment.
Slash, like many of the other Dinobots, was getting restless. Sure, she could play some games, some of which the littlest Dinobot had been working hard on hundred percenting, but none of that was filling her need to be out there running and tearing into Decepticons...
With a huff, Slash pocketed her handheld and left the rest of her brothers in their cave to wander down the halls of the Ark instead, passing other bots as she looked for something to do.
@spilled-energon
Wheeljack started to walk away when Slash spoke up. He paused, glancing back at her. It ended up being a good thing that he looked, because she seemed quite intent on using red on a mostly black blaster. Right. That was probably something he needed to explain.
"Well, they're not necessarily making me do it. It's part of the repair job. I fix and fine-tune the weapon, get it back into proper shape, and hand it back over. Which, speaking of," He nudged the blaster out of the way, then scooted one in that had red detailing, "Try and match the colors already there. We don't wanna paint a black blaster red."
Wheeljack pointed to a section of red detailing that had scraped off, revealing a silver color beneath. "This is what you're lookin' for. You wanna paint the sections that have been beaten up. So, try and cover any section of the weapon you can see peaking out from beneath the paint. It'll mostly be around the edges where the blaster has rubbed against other surfaces."
Slash's face scrunched up upon her creator, pointing out she was about to paint the gun the wrong colour, which made her feel stupid, which she hated. Clenching her dentals, she tried to hide her frustration as she took the red blaster.
She half-heartedly watched and listened to Wheeljack's tips and suggestions, mentally berating herself for almost messing up this simple task. Nodding her head was her only form of acknowledging that she was indeed listening to what he had to say.
With a deep vent, Slash started painting the silver poking out from under the red detail of the blaster.

He led Slash over to one of the many workbenches in his lab, then pulled out a few cans of paint. Blacks, silvers, reds, and whites. Those were the most common colors for the weapons he was working on. Next, he set out a few normal paint brushes and an air brush.
"We paint 'em because some bots prefer to have something with more visual flare," Wheeljack answered. He popped open each can of paint, then went about filling the space with weapons that needed work. "Take Sunstreaker, for example. He's all about his looks. He likes having a weapon that matches."
With a bit of foresight in mind, he threw down a thick tarp to cover the floor of his lab. The poor thing dealt with enough explosions. It didn't need multiple colors of paint splattered everywhere too. "Honestly, it's not really my thing. I prefer something simple. Plain black or grey works just fine for me. Sometimes, I have to make something really eye catching for anyone to be interested, though." Like the Dinobots, for example. They had such bright colors to stand out better.
Slash still didn't really see the point, but whatever, if the Autobots want their gun painted, then so be it. Though as she takes a seat at the workbench and picks up a paintbrush, another thought crosses her mind.
"Why are they making you paint all their weapons? Why don't they do it themselves?" she asked, dipping the brush into one of the cans with no real care in what colour to pick from. As she brought the brush to the first of the weapons she grabbed to paint, it turned out that the colour she dipped the brush into was red.

He could feel that squinted gaze focusing on him. Whether it was out of suspicion or concern, she was clearly observing him. Wheeljack stood a little straighter, suddenly self conscious that his exhaustion was starting to bleed into how he held himself.
Wheeljack came to a stop at the doors to his lab, sidestepping over to the door's control panel. A scan of his servo was followed by a cheery beep, and then the doors slid apart. "I appreciate the enthusiasm," he hummed, shooting her a happy squint. He gestured for her to enter the lab, then followed behind her.
"Would you like to work on the more fun side of things? A lot of these weapons need fresh coats of paint." It seemed like a simple enough job for her. Something entertaining to keep her busy, but not intricate enough for her to hurt herself. His line of work required a very delicate touch and a deep understanding of how something worked. Slash, while wonderfully talented and perfect in her own right, was not a trained engineer.
Normally, Slash would ask for a challenge, but challenges mean mistakes, and mistakes mean Wheeljack's attention being taken away from finishing his side of the chores. No, it's best to keep to the simple task, and then afterwards she can maybe tackle something more challenging. "Ok," Slash nodded, transforming back to her humanoid robotic form so that she had opposable thumbs to work with. Also, this way, she doesn't put a hole in the can of pain with her claws. As she let Wheeljack show her where the weapons and paint are, she wondered something.
"Why do we bother painting them?" She wouldn't think anyone would care how the weapons look, so long as they work.

A soft hum of understanding left Wheeljack. "Good." He knew the Dinobots tended to be treated... Differently by the rest of the Autobots. Wheeljack had always been an outcast himself, but his creations were even worse off. He always made it his business to be aware of how the Dinobots were being treated.
Wheeljack took note of the optics trained on his servo from his peripheral. "Too much," he chuckled. "Weapon repair, base modifications, helping Ratchet with the wounded." He gave a shrug. The blast doors to his lab were coming into view now. "There's too much to do, and not enough time in the day." Hence his decision to skip recharging the past few days. His frame hated him for it.
Slash's optics squinted at her creator, now noticing by his body language and the glow of his head fins that the engineer may not have been getting proper recharge. She has nothing, though, knowing that pestering Wheeljack would only make him insist that he is ok and doesn't need to recharge.
"Well, me Slash is here to help!" Slash chirped, she will focus on helping with all the repairs needed so that her creator can finally have a moment of rest. And if that doesn't work, she can always rat him out to her other creator. She sure Ratchet will find some way to make him recharge.
"What do we work on first?"

Slash stares at the seeker. He smells like Skywarp and has the same colour scheme, but yet this seeker looks different and acts timid.
She should ask who they are, but instead barks, "What purple seeker wants?"
@skywimp
"would you um like to be friends?" The seeker meekly asked curious about the potential for more friends he gives her a shaky smile
Slash's optics narrowed with suspicion at the purple seeker.
"What Seeker's name? Why he want be friends with me Slash?" She asked, not caring, she slipped into Dino speech. If the Decepticon wants to underestimate her intelligence because of it, it's his funeral.
"skywarp ... Um...nobody likes me they think I'm useless just because I'm the runt of the clones " the seeker speaks glumly
Slash’s suspicions doesn’t go away. She eyes the Seeker starting to circle him as sheies to make sense to what game he is playing at.
“You clone of him Skywarp? Why Cons want clones of him?”
"oh oh no I'm a clone of my universe,s starscream " warp did his best to speak "please please don't hurt me I just want to be safe"
"Clones of him Starscream make even less sense!" Slash snorts in frustration.
The smallest Dinobot takes a moment to think about her next action. The whole multiverse thing can be so confusing! However, this Skywarp appears to pose no threat. She doesn't even think he can hurt a fly.
"Alright, Me Slash will be Him Skywarp's Friend." She still didn't trust him, but you know the old saying, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Wheeljack was nothing if not patient. Especially when it came to his creations. The Dinobots were his entire world. He cared more about them than he cared about himself.
With confirmation from Slash that she would be accompanying him, Wheeljack began leading the trek back to his lab. He eyed his youngest from the corner of his optics, his winglets giving a happy little twitch. "Anyone else been giving you problems lately?"
Slash followed behind Wheeljack. Her optic's wandering around the hall, peeking into rooms as they passed by any open doors. She shakes her head upon hearing his question, replying, "Nothing me can't handle!" She had no problems lately. Most bots kept to themselves.
As she scanned the hall once more, her eyes landed on the tool in his hand. "What have you been up to?" Slash asked in curiosity.

Wheeljack didn't even bat an optic at the switch in dialect. He was so used to the Dinobot language that it was just as easy to follow as regular speech. He did, however, let out a soft sigh once Slash informed him of the apparent incident.
"I'll add the energon dispenser to my list of things I need to fix," he replied. Primus, he really had his work cut out for him. "Cliffjumper likes causing problems. I'm not surprised he tried to pick a fight with Grimlock." It frustrated him to no end that the other Autobots could not seem to see past the Dinobots' clumsy exteriors. They only saw mindless brutes. Wheeljack, however, was starkly aware of the truth. Each of them had their own unique ways of interacting with the world. They had their own thoughts, feelings, and interests. Treating them as though they were lesser was a disgusting thing to do.
"If you're bored, then you're welcome to come back to my lab with me," he offered, gesturing with a nod for Slash to follow. "I'm sure we can find something for you to do."
It was nice that Wheeljack always understood them. It made sharing frustrations with him easier, knowing he would listen and not default to getting upset with them.
Slash hummed in thought about the suggestion. Well, she had nothing better to do, and continuing to wander the halls would most likely not solve her boredom. She followed in step behind her creator, "Ok."
