Follow up book
I thought that Camera Lucida had many ideas about photography but I thought that it was a little too much. It gave me a lot of insights about photography and different ways to view photography. I thought that this book was an okay book for people who are starting to begin in photography to get into the mindset of looking at pictures at different angles. I would suggest the book "The Photographer's Eye" by Michael Freeman because it talks about the skill of how to design the organization of the pictures so that it becomes a successful photography.

What makes a good photo?
From the observations in class, a good photo makes the viewer feel some type of way. For example the photo can bring back memories or make them feel some type of emotion. I also think that a good photo includes some clarity and sharpness with some blur in the background to make the picture "pop out".
I think these 2 photos are best because they both show clarity. They also make me feel relaxed which makes me like them even more.

"Now, once I feel myself observed by the lens, everything changes: I constitute myself in the process of "posing," I instantaneously make another body for myself, I transform myself in advance into an image. This transformation is an active one: I feel that the Photograph creates my body or mortifies it, according to its caprice" (10).
I thought that this quote was interesting because everybody can relate to it. Whenever we are getting our pictures taken, we always pose for the camera according to the photographer's requirement. For example, when families go out and take family pictures, they usually pose in a formal manner. On the other hand, when we pose with our friends, we pose in a more casual pose depending on the environment.
