BZZZAP! what's that? it's tone blaster, an auto action set for clip studio paint that adds a cool screentone dot overlay to your line art with one click!

the effect is completely non-destructive and can be undone or adjusted as needed. there are even options for different frequencies so you can choose how big or small you want the dots to be:

i've used this effect a lot in my own art and saved a lot of time with the action set so i thought it'd be worth sharing with everyone :)

some tips for best results:

change your drawing color to match the line art color before using the action! you can also try a lighter tint if your line art is black or another very dark color

use a brush with some transparency in its texture - this lends the dot effect extra visual interest

high frequencies (small dots) are a good option for light or thin lines since the effect will be more visible that way

you can use it on more than just line art - just make sure everything on the layer is the same or similar colors since the overlay can only be one color at a time

How would you describe a dragon to someone who has never seen a dragon?

"Horse but make it a lizard and give it bat wings and horns"

didnt know how to interpret "make it a lizard" so i wrote lizard and drew an arrow pointing to the horse so people know its a lizard. Also didn't know what bat horns were so I gave it a horned bat nose

"A body like a big cat but completely covered in scales, the head of a crocodile with the horns of an ibex, and the wings of a bat on its back"

On it boss o7, ive mashed all these animals together and threw scales all over it. This the dragon you saw?

I was high off my ass last night and had this dream where I was in this dense ass forest and sitting there was a tall woman. She was so tall I couldn’t see her face but she was wearing gold and I was like “uh…hi?” And she said “I made you, do you know that?” And I nodded and she was like “I hear your thoughts. Why do you hate my creation? Why do you try to destroy yourself? I made you perfect as you are. Please don’t break my heart”. Then she started crying and it flooded and I woke up with fucking heart palpitations like what does it Mean™️????
