You cannot have monogamous mate claiming in a society that puts so much emphasis on not knowing who your dad is. The writers need to stop being cowards and just openly give the Sangheili polyandry.
It's interesting how the writers didn't seem to consider the use of any other body parts for body language. You can not have a species rely on one body part for everything. But this also implies that Rtas is basically half-mute by Sangheili standards, since he can't produce a majority of Sangheili non-verbal communication.
